Thanks for keeping up with this Warfare and NUTS! .

Over the last couple of days, I was thinking that perhaps having fixed goals would alleviate some confusion as to where your goal might be located - like when the opposing team touched the flag immediately after it spawned. But, then I thought, one of the great things about this game type is that the terrain to get to the goal always changes. It's up to the carrier to find a different way each time to get there. Plus, the randomness adds to the excitement and doesn't deviate too much from the original game.

Can't wait to see it with the countdown on a fully-loaded map!

OK, I just played a round on the server and there is definitely an element of gameplay that we would have to address. If a tank has the flag and either dives or is pushed off the edge, that tank will undoubtedly end up with the newly-spawned flag first - even with a 3 second delay. Diving has never been a sure-fire way to get points, but here it is ridiculously so. Is there any way to put code in that would spawn the flag in the middle as usual, but spawn the tank (that went over the edge with the flag) somewhere else? Like maybe in the opponent's goal? Is there a way to code it such that this only happens to the diver with the flag or the one that got pushed with the flag and no time else?

Edit: Or perhaps that tank doesn't spawn for 5 seconds - like being in the penalty box.

Very good thread. May make me take up scripting sometime.

Anyway, I have often thought that a 5- 10 second delay on respawning would increase the value of staying alive in scrum. This seems especially true given the situation Jangles described.

I played a couple of games on this server last evening, and it was worthwhile...

Sweet its the weekend. I hope your working on this instead of trying to have a life!

Yes school sucks, but just imagine once your out of it you get to work for the rest of your life. So do good in school so you don't have to spend the rest of your life saying your job sucks.

Was it just my imagination this morning or did KBC post the release of TT2? Thought I saw a preview with fluffy bunnies and all. :)
