This was a bald-faced lie made up for the Da-Vinci code. There are many books on the subject that you can read about it. If part of the site if false, I'm not terribly inclined to believe the rest of it.

Out of curiosity, which page did you find the offending quote on? And, you're saying that the statement "The bible is fiction" is a lie, thereby also saying that the bible is true. You're the one making a positive statement. Prove it.

And if we're the only planet with life on it, then it couldn't have been nature that did it (probability says there's a planet somewhere within this temperature range). This implies divine intervention, aka God.

Temperature isn't the only factor. So is chemical makeup of the planet, having all the right chemicals in the same area, etc.

Plus, this could be turned right back on you. If we're the only planet with life and god exists, why did he create so many dud planets? Even planets that we could never travel to (you know, the ones that are lightyears away)? Did he try a few trillion times and finally get it right, or did he just want to tease us with so many places to be even though we could never get to any of them?

As a simple observer... I find it funny that not long ago Monica was passionately defending the Catholic faith against me, but due to outstanding circumstances which made it impossible for me to answer my yahoo email account, I could not read them until she was passionately destroying Christianity.

On another side note, I also find it funny that Firefox has forced me to capitalize Christianity.

I respect other's views.
I am tolerant, and I do not evangelize because ultimately the issue is "freewill."
We all have the ability to make our own decisions
You cannot force someone to accept something they do not believe.
Hence if they do not want to hear it, they should not have to.

Something like Christianity should be taken at face value by the unbeliever because they have the obligation to.
Christianity should be evangelized not by words, but by the principals it stands for.

Unfortunately, Christians tend to be the most screwed up people in this world and do not practice what they preach.
So what in the wide world of sports do you think the unbeliever should think of Christianity and of its Christians if they themselves do not follow their own religion.

In my opinion the Christians should shut up and the atheists should stop being anal.
I am on neither of your sides and you should both quit it.
