THE iPhone 4 has arrived?

I was scrolling through my email today (or was it yesterday...?) and what do I find? The official pre-order ad. for the iPhone 4...! What caught my eyes was the fact that this one has 2 cameras! one on the face--almost like a mini built-in webcam--and one on the bottom (used for picture-taking). When I told the fam, mom asked if AT&T was still working with Apple. Unfortunately, they are. To be honest, Im waiting for Apple to rollover the iPhone to Verizon. iPhone 5 with Verizon by Christmas maybe?

this is kinda old news. About 2 months or so ago one of the iphone devs was at a bar and lost his... Then someone picked it up and gave it to the web blogging company gizmodo. Im sure a quick google search will give the full story on this. Just thought id let you know. I also believe that steve jobs said something about that in the keynote... But i dont remember for sure.

Not really any hope for you there. I feel your pain. But there are a few reasons why this isn't going to happen:

1) Apple has come out with a new version of the iPhone every June since it's arrival.
2) Before Apple officially launched the iPhone 1 and was looking for a carrier, they approached Verizon first. Verizon said something along the lines of, "We will give the iPhone our service as long as we can do all the UI." Apple, of course, said goodbye and skipped down the street to Cingular, which then became part of AT&T.
3) There have been talks about Apple's contract with AT&T expiring next June. As far as we know, Verizon has not changed it's status regarding the UI. There has been word though, about an iPhone on the Sprint network.

That's pretty much all I know. I'm psyched, though. The iPhone 4 is pretty sexy, and my friend is getting one within the month. Who knows, it might not be there one morning...

if Apple continues to increase its share of the market compared to the Droid, Verizon may reconsider. though Blackberry's leading share of the market may have to dip below Apples for that to come to pass.

i think its more likely that ATT will improve its service first.

pretty lame Keynote this year imo. the hype continues to outweigh the substance with each passing keynote.

I like this new phone. Much better camera than the iphone 3gs. The pics it takes is under par for its competitors. I cant stand the camera on this thing. I will wait till 5 comes out. Hopefully ATT will fix its service and perhaps introduce 4G. Hoping for 7 megapixels on next iphone. Some flash support would also be nice but cant expect that anytime soon.

Google is making a impressive attack against the Iphone with the Android operating system. Android OS phones this past year sold more than the Iphone. Google deciding to go with several different phones and companies has allowed for a much faster growth of sales than Apple.

Currently AT&T doesn't offer a Android based phone but I think it may look appealing in the near future for AT&T. I'm betting Apple is doing everything they can to keep them from doing so however.

I've played a little with both operating systems and I was very impressed with googles. I like being able to run several different apps at the same time. Unfortunately the only cell phone that I have is the companies and they use AT&T. The Iphone is not compatible with Lotus Notes unlike the Blackberry so I carry a blackberry. From what I understand Android is compatible as well.

Rumor is that iPhone 5's glass on the front screen with double as a solar panel, so you can lay it in the sun and it will charge. Badassliness to the extreme.
