Metal, Rock, Hard Rock. All countless times better than rap which is mainly just recycled beats and meaningless lyrics.

Here are some reasons on why Rap Sucks!

# 1. Anyone can make up a rap song and scratch a record. It takes skill to know how to play a guitar or drums, and it takes a lot of practice. And to prove that anyone can make a song, here is mine...

# 2. Rap songs are all about violence, drugs, and other bad stuff in the world and how to do it. While on the other hand, rock sings about violence, drugs, and other bad stuff, but they tell you how to deal with them.

# 3. Everyone that listens to rap are posers. They do not make their own trends, they only follow them. While rock fans make their own trends. Rock fans are not ashamed to dress like freaks. It makes them individuals. Everyone that listens to rap dresses alike (FuBu cloths, yankees cap, etc.), and talks alike (wazzup dawg, jigga, etc.). Rock fans just dress in black. That's it. Nothing else! Anything else, and they have done it individually!

# 4. All rap songs sound alike. Enough said.

# 5. Rap videos are degrading to women (alright, I am a guy, and I am not really complaning, but it is true). They insult all people of different races and sexes different from them. Just look at a DMX rap video...ever see a white person (or anyother race in them)?

# 6. Ever been to a rap concert? Hundreds of police around, and your getting frisked worse then a White House Intern!!!

# 7. What is one of the best things at a rock concert? A MOSH PIT!!! If you even attempt to start a mosh pit at a rap concert, you have a better chance surviving a Mexican Firing Squad then you do surviving a shot from the person next to you.

# 8. Who cares how much ice you got or who your dogs are? Rap lyrics are just people talkin chit through ebonics.

# 9. Rap Sucks becuase rappers sing about how they represent the east side and how he should "bust a cap" on all the west side niggaz....in rock nobody cares where you are from they only care about good music.

1. I'd like to see you make a rap song. Rap isn't poetry, my friend. And do you think you could be a songwriter for Flobots?
2. Looks like somebody hasn't heard the following songs: "Someday" by Flipsyde, "Remember the Name" by Fort Minor, "Scare Goat" by MC Frontalot (honestly I can't figure this one out yet), or "Where is the Love?" by Black Eyed Peas. Actually, just listen to a couple songs by Flipsyde.

But I will give you credit.... Mainstream hip-hop and rap songs are pretty repetitive. Some songs have mundane, monotonous lyrics about the points you mentioned in #2. However, there are zillions of lyrical rap groups out there.

#1: Your "rap" sucked. Also, it takes lots of skill to produce beats. I am with you when I say I dislike the "beat-made-in-5-minutes-now-lets-talk-about-bitches-and-hoes-so-autotune-my-voice" chit. But having a good flow and using it to your advantage is a real skill. Take Rakim Allah, the greatest lyricist of all time (maybe tied with Nas).

#2: You're talking about "gangsta rap" "g-funk" and the "west-coast east-coast rivalries". Really bro, the only person who could say that rap is all about that is someone who knows nothing about rap (*cough*hard rock stoners*cough*).

#3: It's true that some rap-listeners are posers, but not all. Besides, you say that everyone who listens to rock always wears black. Followers, much?

#4: Once again a statement that can only be made my some ignorant punk-rock head. Go jack off to ACDC.

#5: Falls under the category of #1 ("beat-made-in-5-minutes-now-lets-talk-about-bitches-and-hoes-so-autotune-my-voice").

#6: There will be bad people at every concert of every genre ever. Rock is not excluded.

#7: Mosh pits are 100x better at rap concerts.

#8: Rap fans care. Rock fans don't. It's all part of the culture of hip-hop. And yes, hip hop is a culture in itself. Even though Pac is dead, Thug Life is still around.

#9: Bro, this is the 21st century. That East-West Coast rivalry faded with Big and Pac. Again a common mistake rock-heads make. And also, you're only talking about gangsta rap AGAIN. Get it straight.
