Sorta explains the appeal by some, dontcha think? Both Eminem and his alter ego, Slim Shady, represent the perennial loser, the class clown who’s going nowhere fast. The guy who gets beat up in the bathroom, keeps flunking the same grade and can’t even keep a $5.50-an-hour job.

The real Slim Shady
Read a quote about Eminem in a Wahington Post article recently that struck me as interesting....

Going nowhere fast? Dude, he owns a record label and is 100x richer than you.
It's amazing how the people who dislike Eminem have no life at all and would go to the lengths to look for a bad blurb about him in the Washinton post just to [try and] piss someone off. Those people are also the type to think all rap is the same and poisons the mind of children.
Sit and swirl.

^ I don't mind any music, to each his own. But its the kids who imitate him that kinda makes you wonder about mankind. Eminem is rich, but do you ever wonder why he's rich? It's because he encourages disillusioned teens to open up their pockets to make him rich. Does that make him admirable? It's kinda like serving alcohol to alcoholics. He's found a niche and become successful with it, but . . .

Re: The real Slim Shady
44 took no bias to his own post; he merely posted a quote from the WP and asked a question. I just thought it was funny that Cyl read into the quote so much that he thought 44 had something to do with it. Eh. . .
On the other hand, sometimes artists turn on a different look once they hit the spotlight. Eminem chose the "perennial loser" coming from nowhere. Perhaps that's helped the fact that he's rich, but it also might be because he's not half a bad rapper. In all honesty, I think he's got a lot in his bank because he's talented. But... I also think that he toys with the whole came-from-a-bad-past-need-to-clean-myself-up bit a little too much in his lyrics. Just a regular white guy from America then, huh?

Re: The real Slim Shady
My mistake, but in other words, he didn't show bias in his statement.. going this way or that, left or right... blah blah blah. but as a fellow player pointed out (rather mockingly) 44 obviously took a certain opinion, and was asking the community what they thought.
