R1 Needs Help!

Okay, so I've just downloaded the TGE Demo, and I'm planning on making some race tracks with it. I have so many questions, it's not funny. Normally, I'd just PM Jerry, but I want this in the open, see if I can get more than one responce. So, without further ado, let's begin.

1) This seems basic, so I'll get it over with. The stupid orc thing at the beginning. what the...?? Do I just leave it? Does it matter?

2) Terrain specs. What's the best I could work with? Does it depend on map size?

3) I've been trying to figure out how to get the ground flat. I know how to get it FLAT, but how do I raise it just right so that it's even? Example: Person's tracks, or TT Speedway. Any tips?

Which TGE did you download?

1.3 and 1.4 are good but 1.5 does not work with with TT well.

First off are you on mac or pc, as you MUST INSTALL TT CORRECTLY or your maps might not load in TT.

Download and red the TGE users guide, only takes an hour and you will then know how to use TGE correctly: http://webzoom.freewebs.com/daz_138/EGTGE.zip


To get totally flat ground use the terrain editor (F6) and use the set height tool, the default height is set to 100 to change the height go to edit/terrain editor settings and in the box that opens up change the set height value to what you want and click ok.

If you read the user guide you will learn all of this.

T'anks, Daz! I have found one thing that I don't get, though. On "Thirdly...", where's the TGE_Start batch file? Or rather, where's the download zip? I have 1.4, which is BASICALLY the same as 1.3, but I can't find the file. Help?
