connectivity issues

Post by dad »

Is anyone else having problem with connections to dash's server?? I'll be playing fine then it will disconnect(green box in top right corner with cord unplugged). Is there anything I can check on my end? Internet has been working fine, also have voip with no problems. It's only been happening the last few days.

Thanks

No, its the isp, I've been getting that for a few days now. It will correct itself.
They bought their tickets, they knew what they were getting into. I say, let 'em crash.

double check

The MI: Banlist Lush Indy server is in dash's data center rack and shares his connection but is on a separate computer. If you get the same disconnects at MI: then its most likely an issue that will be resolved soon.

Dash & MI are examples of the two extremes for me. Dash on top of my server list,, MI near bottom. I think I know where dash pc is but where is MI pc?

The MI: server is no more than a foot away from dash's linux computer. They are in dash's data center cage in Michigan. dash generously donated the space for my Mac mini in his computer rack.

You should get identical pings and connectivity from dash's and the MI: servers. BTW they both route from Michigan over to Chicago before going to wherever you are.

And when you ping yourself inside the each server...

The order of the servers in the TT console isn't based on the ping you get inside the server. Let me know if your pings are different inside the dash and MI: servers.

I don't know about the ping because I find that irrelevant to firerate. There is no concrete connection between them. Dash gives me number one firerate, then Roos,, then my own. I'm terrible in MI . Ive had my butt handed to me by players pinging 150 while I was at 80. The only reason for the difference between DB and MI may be the PC and operating system.

That's all very true CB. I only ask about ping because it seemed to me that you were inferring that a server's place on the list correlated with its ping.

I'm always trying to figure out the variables that affect performance in TT. You are the first person I've heard say that has a drastically poorer experience in MI than dash's. Is your experience at MI consistently poor, or only sometimes?

Same case for me. The fire rate and smoothness of game is consistently much better in Dash's than MI (and IA).
