cable modems gone bad!

hey guys I played this game for over a year with a semi-bad cable modem. it would unplug from the net while in tt and then plug back in.... now I know internet traffic can cause this sporradically, but in my case it was happening 2 much, when a friend suggested my modem had been surged by lightning. (I live in the lightning capitol of the world here in Fl.)well after a little arguing with earthstink, my provider, they gave me a new modem and WALAH, no more unplugs but most of all the lag was GREATLY reduced. and i mean noticably... now i have used roosters ip packet tweak and i gotta sayGREAT JOB ROO!...that helped me bigtime... but what im trying 2 say is that if you unplug alot (mr ed ya dont beleive me) call your isp for a new modem...i imagine this is true with a dsl modem too... i bet it works for you 2....cyas in dash bash



remember: a cable or dsl modem is actually not a modem!

well its about the modem getting surged by lightning...not the provider you use...it can happen 2 ANY modem even YOURS,which btw you dont own...comcast does and it CAN work but not be working RIGHT....



remember a cable or dsl modem is not technically a modem...the signal is neither modulated or demodulated because it is already a digital signal, hence there is no conversion to analog...funny huh?
