Preload question

I have upgraded my server and added some new tanks. I tried to joined the server in another TT (which didn't have the files)and downloaded the preloads. When it finished, i joined in successfully, but the new tanks' brain and treads are all white...

I need your help!

Sounds like you're missing the skins for those tanks. Make sure that all the skins are in the same folder or else they wont load. The dts's of each part of the tank search and then load the skins for that part from the same folder, so if they are not in the same folder they appear white. If you're loading the tank dts's from the "tanks" folder then there must be another problem.

Thanks for answering.

I have added some tanks and they have their own folders. I put all the things i know for a tank in it. When I play the TT(with this mod), it appear nicely, but when i use another TT to download the preloads.It won't get the brains and the tanktreads...

Do you think you could PM or email me a copy of your tannkDB? It'll be much easier to fix it if I have something to look at and test.

I also had the same problem TYF. When you are in your tanks folder, all the way at the bottom are the treads right? I am almost positive that you need to color all the treads what you want for the tank in the game to have those color treads, instead of white.

^^ Its not the tankdb that is the problem.

Best thing to do is on one computer - not the one you use to mod or server - delete all the tank data that has been downloaded and then rejoin the server and let it load again. Then check what has been downloaded.

The problem is most likely causing the white treads is the IFL image file that controls the tank tread animation. There are two IFL files called LTread and RTread - I am not sure if these IFL files download with the tank tread jpeg files, but by doing the above you can check if these files download from the server or not. Without these IFL files the actual tread jpeg files will not show in game and all you will have is white.
