hello all,
my sincerest apologies for my absence. moving has turned my world upside down coupled with a bunch of jobs that were demanding my full attention. that being said....i am back.

from the last captains email it was determined that 5 teams would be the best route to take. so if all is as i left it that means Dad, Leop, Dash, Falcon, and General Vig are standing captains. i will act as captain if one of these 5 do not.

each team will play each other twice with one team having a bye week each week. all teams will make the playoffs seeded by regular season standings. this will be a 10 week season with 2 playoff weeks.

i suggest we hold the draft this coming Tuesday night at 9:30 pm eastern. Dash could you accomodate us with a draft server?

the only other thing to be determined is map selection. i could use some help with this as i hardly know the maps by name. i know em when i show up. please Pm or email me if you are willing to help with map selection. i strongly suggest using well known maps with no unusual objects. lets keep this simple and server freindly.

Dash is out as a captain and out for season. He will not be able to play. He will also likely not be able to provide a server, although this is less clear.

I suggest we go with a combination of previous season maps. Season 6 and 7 all had good maps. In season 7 we hand picked them with captains votes, Roo checking them, checked all spawn points, etc. They were very fair maps.

We also added a few players after the deadline, as well as Mojo, Dazzle and Fishtank.

I think you should captain GS. Then we need one more if we want 6.

Yes lets keep the maps tried and true - and keep that process simple so as not to delay much more.
I got the sense dash could handle some hosting chores, perhaps not.

no dash servers is disconcerting...he's always been the horse. so i guess our potential hosters would be CB, Lep, Musick, Roo....and who am i missing? we would need 3 servers each week (2 in play and 1 back up).

CB...could you host the draft this Tuesday night on your server?

Ok boys and girls it is time to see who signed up and who is really playing.

There are two versions of the city map. I believe that Dazzle has the good one. He spent quite a bit of time fixing the roads so they looked correct. The last time this map was used it was the old version. If the map does not look right ring him up and see if he will let you run the good version.

I cannot wait for this to get going.

I'd like to add D16 Trinity to that list, it's a classic and it hasn't been up for a while.
