Re: Modelling new tanks
I looked at a tank in MilkShape 3D. There are four sequences involved: Left tread, right tread, firing, and death. The first two are called LTread and RTread if I remember correctly. You can download a trial of MilkShape yourself, load a tank into it, and see what you need. You'll probably also need a place to put the brainjar (which is a separate shape), not sure how that'll work. You'll need to handle treads (or wheels) yourself (the tread pics that come with TT are probably part of the tank shape). I'll try to make one myself at some point, and if it works, I'll post what I know. Until then, good luck.
Never really gone, never really part of the game.

Re: Modelling new tanks
Update! Yes, the sequences are called "LTread" and "RTread". The other sequences are called "fire" and "death". At least this is what my hex editor says. The DTS exporter for Blender has instructions for making exportable sequences, that should help. Again, good luck.
EDIT: You'll also need some bones, otherwise the game will crash. The attachment is a look at a simplified example (the Puck from HockeyTanks... remember that?).
