on a team going through the speed
gate back to back to back and then
stormin the base.

Such a fun game type! ZOMG im pumped....

All I can say is it will be ready when its ready, but the hardest part is over and we are now just on the maps and eye candy. But as always with these projects I will be 100% before open release nothing less.

Just so you know the script-side developments:

The Admin script is already finished and ready for testing. This was a custom-made version of ACASv3 that will NOT work without the CTF script (nor will the CTF script work fully without ACAS_CTF)

It has been modified with a lot of new functions and some unwanted ones removed (in order to increase performance/remove unwanted bloat) and all code shortcuts (/shortcuts) have been changed to match dash's, with a couple more changes... Basically if you dont use the GUI you won't notice a difference.
As for the GUI, the GUI supports ACASv3 so you dont need to install any new script to use it, with the exception of one single function, a "list-ban/unban" GUI, for which you will need ACAS_CTF or an upcoming updated version of ACASv3. You will not be able to use the GUI without logging in tough.

So yeah, progressing along nicely :D
There might be a few changes before the final, including removal of ACASv3 support, so if you got any suggestions just shoot. I'd like to hear what the vets expect from an admin script or what they don't like in ACASv3 in order to make it exactly like you want the script to be :)

Thanks Art for the update on the CTF script! I and I'm sure others will have more input available for you when we are in-game with hands-on use of the script. Your work on this is greatly appreciated! Art, Daz, Phobik & Lone have the support of me and (as pleasantly evidenced here in these posts) many others for any help or input as needed.

Like OoFfa ^, any updates?

Massive bump!!!!

Just to let you know I have been a bit slack on this due to work commitments but am pushing ahead now as fast as I can. The final script has been completed together with a dedicated admin script for CTF Recreation - mucho thanks to Art, nice work my friend. The lush and spooky maps are virtually completed, just waiting for LW to give final look over. Brain and volcano rock power ups have also been completed. We have to then mod the frantic maps, which hopefully will not take to long as we now have our system down 100%.

What I intend to do from here in the next week or so is run a map layout and power up test server so CTF vets can test out power up, object, arrow, jump pad and goal placement together with the actual new power up's. Once I have actioned the testers comments I will then install the script and complete game play testing will commence. Following final tweaks and eye candy additions this thing will be ready for general release.

We have attempted to make the game as near to the original as possible but also add in some new stuff to the game script to enhance the game play as well as some map tweaks to bring the whole thing up to date. Yes there will be a simple preload but I will sort all that out before general release.

What I am looking for are some CTF vets who are willing to test out the game and maps for me, I am sorry to the newer TT guys but I cannot consider you for testers as you will never have played the original CTF and will not know what to look for, so any CTF vets who are willing to help out please post or PM me so I can add you to the testers list.
