How about I post your last two emails to this forum, Mr Early. Then we can let everyone decide whether they might have ignored them.

Mr Early does not get to publicly lay a pile of crap in my lap, walk away and drop another crap loaded email on me. This has not been a duel. It has been an assassination. He has repeatedly called me a liar & impugned my character. He has yet to respond forthrightly. He has stepped way over the line. It is neither amusing nor pleasant.

It is also a measure of this community. Read the posts. Whether or not anyone particularly likes me is irrelevant to the truth of the events. If you support Mr Early in his accusations and find no reason to censure him then you are asserting that what I claim is an illusion & Mr Early knows more about me than do I. Since by your judgement I would be clearly mentally incompetent there is no reason for me to maintain a presence in this community.

Of course most of you will do nothing. After all that would be taking sides. That's fine also. Perhaps this viper will strike at you next.

Ok not takin sides here had to think about it.....
This is what I see.....I don't say a whole lot about team balancing cussing, comings and goings of players team killing for new tanks yada yada yada.....
But it's done by everyone!!! I could name names but that would just start another
argument so I won't.....
We have players that will say brb and they are gone for most of the game
we have players that come in to just yak and when satisfied with the answer to the question leave the game ( all the while another player is trying to come in that wants to play the game )....
and than we have the cussing just about everyone that plays the late night game cusses...
and there are other players that hang at the goal when the ball is one the otherside of the map and again I could name names but I won't...I know I do it but I do it when I'm tired or my wrist hurts but I don't want to leave the game till it's over....

I am gonna make a comment about the new modded maps the placement of goals is good the placement of arrows is good I just think that there is to many of them ...
I think arrows are good but I do not think all arrows should take you into a goal
I like the arrow that you have to hit just right than off a rock or tree to get you into the goal that to me is a skill and makes it fun or help you get across a map
if the goal is on the other side....Just my thoughts not bashing anyone...

I saw a post that said there were no new modded maps Hello!!! I have made 15 maps in the last three months ...and asked that they be put into the mod pack ...and not one of you have given me feed back on good bad or indifferant (Like I had asked)....So please refrain from saying that no new maps have been made...
I just can't host them but I do send them out with the missions that you can change anyway you like...

I feel that there is a "click" going on here.... and that is the way I feel about it
The click seems to weed out what they do not want by making excuses on things that a player does when all along you do the same things...think about it...or don't up to you....

@slug...If you want the "community" to censure stink, that is asking too much. We have not had the extensive interactions with you or him that would allow us to make that judgmental call. Most of us don't know you or stink from a hole in the ground, but you want us to play judge and peacekeeper?

Like I tell my friends, if you got a beef, get the other person's address and b*tch slap him when he answers the door. Handle it like a man. If the crime ain't worth the hassle of such, then let it go.

If you don't have his address, ignore him. People on TT are not going to refuse to play with you because you are not a stinky fan.

I find it really lame that it's 2 men. Now if it were 2 women going at it, at least that would have potential for fantasies. For better or worse, 2 old guys doesn't do it for me.

hey, wow, my real name. go ahead and post my last 2 emails slug. seriously, since you've already "outted" me. the last one was in keeping with the posts here, but w/ more finality. the one before that was completely innocuous attempt to clarify a "problem" you and i had a few months ago. it's nothing like you imply.

character assasination...ok. the last email was extremely unflattering, true. the one before that was good natured and clearly expressed the intent to clear things up.

go on ahead and follow up on the threat. they came to you by email because they were meant for you. in fact, if you persist in your allegations, i'll post them myself.

and guess what guys, no one is going to someone's house and hand out any whoop ass.

i now consider you a complete and total fraud. you are dishonest to your rotten core, and it's pretty clear that you not only lie to strangers on PTT, but that you lie to yourself.

i don't personally care what path you take from here on out. i'm not even saddened any longer that someone i've known and liked for years - even in the small way the internet allows - has turned out to be so full of himself that he'd do or say anything to keep the idea of himself safe from "abuse" from the outside. hey, your ego seems pretty well intact from our encounter. well done! close call, that. be a shame to actually have allowed even a glimmer of a possibility that you -- far from being thought of as a great gamesman, or a taciturn and respected tactician, etc. etc. etc. -- that you were really a ready-made facade (grumpy grampa) hiding a lonely, tired, and somewhat petty old man with bad manners. yes, you've given us all some instruction on how we should think of you...a renaissance man...you once said of yourself...a genius...and so on. your words. to describe...uh...that person you think you are.

yeah slug, keep up the rationalizations and self-aggrandizing narratives. by the way: i think one of the things you said may have been truthful -- that no one really likes you. rationalize that. must be something wrong w/them, i suppose. unable to appreciate your contributions, i think you recently said.

normally i wouldn't bother taking these pains to assure myself that i'd made my feelings clear to someone i had begun to detest. but when that person was once a friend, and that person betrays that friendship, and then denies the friendship, casts aspersions on my character, and fabricates strings of lies -- all in the interest of ego preservation -- i take it personally. a flaw in my own ego...something along the lines of a false concept of decorum, maybe. anyway i am almost moved to anger. but then again...you aren't worth any more investment.

i don't think you'll have any trouble misinterpreting my message. now get to work denying it's truth-value (not to me of course, why would you stoop?). oh, and do so knowing that your "superior" intellect needn't trifle with showy displays of impressive syntactic constructions, rhetorical curliques, or puffy vocabulary. save it for the little kids.

yes, harsh. it's my true assessment and you see why i sent it privately. before the whole "mr. early" stuff.

easy there partner! you said you forgot your color too, i said "we know but that we gave up on you years ago." that's it. didn't realize you were so bent.

xxx got some tongue lashin's cause he continuously forgets his color and shoots out his team. did it to me three times in one game. i didnt berate him overly: i just cursed once and left the game. even normally cool headed magenta unleashed the eff bomb on him. it happens frequently that when someone gets switched he forgets his colors. this guy does it without being switched and he does it often.

he wasn't getting teamed up on. i was staying completely outta it at that point, and fact was just ignoring him. his drunken rambling is not endearing. in fact his whole shtick is getting old. he pulls the same stunts nightly. we need another server for BSing. scrumbag attracts people who want to play TS first, Bs second. nothing wrong w/that.

the level of play has risen. people are pretty serious. so be it. there were others in tonight of lower skill, but who were not being berated. why? because they were new, because they tried. xxx is drunk, and on top of that, not terribly bright, and he prattles on about nothing. i guess he hasn't noticed that these qualities anger his team mates. stick up for a drunk's right to play like an ass and he will always play like an ass.

anyway, i think you took me to mean something completely other than what i meant. i was just being my typical asinine self.

i blanked out a name in the second email cause it has nothing to do with this. i left woot's name in the third because he is involved in this, and everyone already knows he's a di.ck.

Hey you two go to your conners and when you come out kiss and makeup.
If you can't do that and you must hold a grudge just don't enter the same game when the other is there.
Or play and both of you just play and keep it quiet. I know some of you would say this is just a $20 game.
Well this $20 game lets you interact with the other players and we all get emotionally involved to some extent.
Some personalities just don't mesh and when enough is enough this happens.

You both have something to bring to the game and I would be very disappointed to lose that experience.(either one of you)

Who am I, but I think this has gone far enough in this format.
Let it go and go from there or continue in another way.
If either of you doesn't reply any more no one will think any worse of you. Maybe will respect you more.
You both know this is going to go to far(if it hasn't already) and someone is going to regret what they have said.

Believe it or not the young ones are reading this and what are they learning from it?
Think about it.

Give each other a call. Things seem to be different in person and take a different path. Sometimes better and sometimes worse.

i like you both, but this behavior is unbecoming for the two of you. im not sure why the rest of us has had to look at the past 3 or 4 pages as most of it it personal and virtually none of it has any constructive application to the game or the community.

Note that I did not post those emails. They were posted by the other principal in this discussion. Since they have been made public I will review the originals to confirm they have not been edited.

I outed stink because I feel that he has hidden behind the anonymity of his nick to write scurrilous & hateful posts. I feel that when he did so he forfeited his right to anonymity.

Visiting this forum has become a truly unpleasant experience for me. I do not mind defending my ideas even when others disagree strongly. That is the nature of dialogue. I have always endeavored to keep my comments topical and to avoid insult and personal attacks. Whenever I knowingly have behaved or written inappropriately I have rendered a public apology.

I do resent having to stand alone against attacks upon my character and my veracity. I have perhaps been foolish to mark many members of this community as my friends.

Beyond that I am finished with this discussion.

PS. After review of the pertinent emails. Apparently I misremembered the contents of stinky's penultimate post or confounded it with something he chatted at me in game. There was nothing objectionable in that particular post and I apologize for suggesting that there might have been.
