Personally I like RX's Idea, but can we pick maps that were actually made for the way scrum is played now, last map we played had 2 effin arrows, and 1 bounce pad, all the rest was driving. And i'm not really bitching about it because GS asked for input, I just figured it would be a Roo map, won't make that mistake again.

Also what I would like to purpose is we get like a standard map rotation, heck why not just use what Dash has running right now in Scrumbag, he's letting me speed the maps up, by remodding and adjusting for even spawns, by next week I should have most all of them updated. Then all he would have to do is Lock down scrumbag for and hour or so, and any admin can come in later and un-lock the server. Heck for that matter Dash would not even have to lock the server all the time because on most of the teams there is at least one dash admin that could lock and un-lock the server.

I find the speeding up of the maps for three on three isn't good. I'm sure all will concur in the match we played that luck played a major part and it was because of the arrows. Forget what map it was but that's moot. It had six arrows though I'm guessing and that's way too much.

I think map size should dictate the number of arrows. Smaller map, less arrows. Large map, more arrows. A smaller map with many arrows is doodoo brown in my opinion.

I agree, too many arrows on a larger map doesn't make for a good 3 on 3 map. Hitting the right size is the most important.

And I bet you guys drive 40 in a 55, and 55 on the interstate also, the arrows if anything speed up the maps, that is if you know how to use them, old school is gone, make way for the new breed, and BTW RX make up your mind, when we were on skype, you me pac stink and meat. You said you liked the faster maps, don't be afraid of Rogue, just fire up another one and all will be right in the Matrix once again buddy.

And Rogue if you would come play more often you would see how arrows enhance the game, not take away from it, there is "NOTHING" worse than driving 20 seconds across a map only to watch the other team score then kill each other then spawn on the other side of the map and what are we doing? If there are no effin arrows, we are driving another effin 20 seconds across the map only to watch them score again.

I'm not dissin on ya Rogue, i understandyou have a family, and are a great husband and father. I'm just stating a fact of the game. The way this game is played has changed, it's morphed more so towards speed and shooting in TS. Any nOOb can score in TS now if he has the right shooters on his team, without the arrows taking the opposing team back to the action, its a 1 sided game continually, and impossible to balance. Give it a try Rogue, be like Mike and just do it dawg, I promise you'll like it

wOOt the arrow SLUT!!

And BTW, the maps I am modding are the WizTriv maps, some people have bitched about lag, the reason for the lag is because of the size he made them, I spoke to Roo about this and he said back when they started modding they did not know size mattered, obviously in TT it does. WizTriv maps are 512x512 by 1024x1024, hence the lag issue and the huge size of them. Now what the studly dash has done is lower visible distance and lower the fog to about nothing, which has really helped a lot on the WizTriv maps, I don't plan on arrowing up any of his smaller maps, but it would be nice if the effin arrows at least aimed towards a goal. WizTriv07,09,11 I have added a few arrows, funny thing is last night we were playing 07 and someone said eh, small map. Two weeks ago the complaint was eh, to big! Sweet Jesus on high people.

@wOOt - I appreciate what you are doing. And I have no ability to mod, so my hat is off to you and Roo et al. I am just making an observation here. I am thinking about that one wiz/triv map that you added a lot of arrows to. I agree it is faster, but the problem I find is that (a) I hate when an old map comes back with different rocks & arrows in different places - screws me up, and (b) because there are so many more arrows, it doesn't pay to chase someone down, more of a sure thing to just head to the goal. That makes it a little more boring for me and a little more random. I think if a map is too big, it's too big. Maybe good for 5 on 5. The fast maps I like are the smaller ones (without being too small!). If a map needs more than 5 arrows top keep it flowing, I would say it is too big for 3 on 3 TS.

this is not the format to give the challengers the best chance to win....its supposed to be hard. win and you get to dictate terms under the agreed format of first to 2 wins takes all.

Some take aways. People will always complain. If you complain, do it nicely.

Personally for a 3v3 map I would love to see the use of Dazzles enclosed worlds. Would help stop the scrum from going over along with divers. Nothing like losing the 3rd game by one point and seeing them dive and score, frustrating. Additionally I would like to see the goals and the spawns separated.

I don't really care about the size to much or wether it plays fast or slow. The other team has to adjust too.
