mmmm... lets play some small map... the map we used in the first round of the cash tourny was great... very fun fast map with some good arrows.... ill post back in 15 mins when i find out its name.... ill serach for the cash tourny thread...

By Rooster... its in this weeks Roos rotation. Great map good arrows that lead to some tricky air goals, also a map that calls for tallented gunning, very fun, quick, little map, great for 3v3...

i was speaking with fish about the map choice and i thought it might be fun to use a stock lush map. it has been forever since they were used for league play but we all play on them week in and week out. the upside in my mind is that there are no unknowns with a stock lush map and the familiarity with them will put a heavy emphasis on skill. the FB factor is also kept to a minimum.

i have been playing alot of indy games lately and when we get a good group of vets who are ultra familiar with the terrain on those lush maps the skill level of the play goes thru the roof. its been alot of fun that i think would work in this 3 on 3 format.

on a side note, we need to confirm with Memphis that this Sunday will be okay. 8 eastern may be a tad bit early, he does have duties on Sundays.

Dash hosting is great but lets be open to the idea of starting this thing next sunday so we can kick this off smoothly. nothing will kill this faster than to rush into it w/out everyone being on the same page.

just spoke with Memph and he does need the start time to be later. 9 eastern would be ideal for him and this sunday works for all three of us.

he also thought Cranium Crater would be a great map to kick this thing off. i agree with him and know Fish would be cool with that. we can always introduce newer maps with future challenges but i really think we would be doing ourselves a favor by starting as simply as possible and letting it gain steam.

if you three are cool with that then we can have ourselves a match! let us know.

Alright i guess that CC is ok. Just thought that whuppin your asses on a smaller map with nice airgoals would be fun, But if you want the slow low scoring loss slowely thrust upon you, we will use your kitty "CC" map...

hehe...lowscoring, maybe on your guys end. maybe we can educate you on just how acrobatic Cranium Crater can be. its a true classic.

im going on past experiences here to try to get a successful launch to this. i want more than one match to happen. i envision ongoing challenges where win/loss records will dictate future matchups. rankings will develop and top teams will emerge to offer marquee games. i think this thing can be bigger than just one top team facing challengers. any team can offer challenges and play matches and the best records will be inclined to play each other.

a simple start will help me thinks.

also, all agree to a best of three format here? first to 2 wins sound good?

and if Rx could be there in obs as an sort of referee, i think that would be good. not necessary to film but an impartial witness could be good to kick things off.
