I want to know who told Rooster that I pulled the buildings out of pillbox plateau. I never hosted it. When my expansion pack maps were going to be played , I put up a pre load with exception of Emerald Swamp, that I just forgot. I want to know who started this rumor . I hope anyone using someone else's map and wants to make changes gets permission from the map creator first. My guess is that who ever hosted pillbox didn't have the proper files to serve it.
They bought their tickets, they knew what they were getting into. I say, let 'em crash.

If someone wants to step up to the Commish challenge, I'm all for it. I'm just glad we got this thing off the ground. It may have been a bumpy ride, but all who were captains from the get go agreed to draft time, type, etc.

Smack, I appreciate your comments as always. The only comparison I made between TBML and PSL was the manner players were drafted. Every team drafted 7 players, and every team has had problems with no shows(including my team). Dad's Children is also down two players from the draft, fortunately the remaining players, including me, are there every week. It makes me laugh when people criticize the way players were drafted. It had nothing to do with the draft but rather captains really not being familiar with the skill of the players drafted. Tell me in what draft(normal draft) would Belikin still be available for the 10th pick overall. It's like getting Peyton Manning on the 10th pick playing fantasy football.

I think two of the biggest problems we had with the league were 1) not having a commissioner 2) Not all captains were active.

All of the changes can/should be discussed at the end of the season. That time is coming soon when All Dad's Children will proudly display their new toaster.

Deano, no offense, but I haven't seen you vote for much even after the league started. There certainly weren't any concerns or questions voiced on draft night.

Here were the numbered draft picks for Players' and my team...

PLayer drafted 2nd, 11th, 14th, 23rd, 26th, 35th, 38th

Dad's drafted 3rd, 10th, 15th, 22nd, 27th, 34th .... Based on these numbers, both teams should have "average" players.

Bolo's team, who drafted 8 players(and has now seemed to have collapsed) drafted: 1st, 12th, 13th, 24th, 25th, 36th, 37th.

Anyone who has participated in PSL, please let me know how you normally draft. We had six captains, the drafting order was chosen by the date of joining PTT2...Then we drafted in this order: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, etc.

The teams at the #1 and #6 position should have had the advantage since they were given two draft picks in a row.

I was the commish of a fantasy football league for 7 years, usually with a minimum of 12 teams per year, and this seemed to work fine.

Not sure how much more even this system of drafting could be, but hey, that's just me. Maybe next season we can make it more fair by assigning players to a team and eliminate the draft all together

^^^^^CB first I've heard of that rumor, why not ask Roo?

this season PSL did the exact same method of drafting that you used for TBML and it has produced probably the most parity among teams we have seen yet. previously, PSL teams were drafted in order after randomly assigned draft positions. so teams 1 thru 6 would be get randomly chosen draft positions and each round would follow that order. team 1 chose first every round and team 6 chose sixth every round. i always felt that was extremely unfair as the randomly chosen 6th team got the last pick every round and that team usually struggled at the bottom of the standings all season long.

participation and server availability are really the only things needed to run a successful league. there has to be enough good servers and playable maps each week and people have to show up. thats it. we hardly discuss logistics each week in PSL because the servers are set and everyone already knows when and where to be on game night.

there have been alot of opinions offered and humor me for offering my unsolicited opinion, but i feel the thing that doomed this league from the start was the unusually long sign up period and then the rush to draft before confirming everyones availability after so much time had passed. those that had signed up originally may not have known the league was still happening three months later when the draft was held or their availability may have changed.

moving forward, if i were participating in this league, i would say player36's suggestion on dissolving Bolo's team and filling out the remaining teams rosters is the best solution. Bolo's team forfeits remaining games and the rest of the teams play out their schedules. the only thing after that is making sure there are two working servers with playable maps each week (with 5 teams you'll only need 2 servers now). what maps they are dont really matter, you just need to make sure a game is played each week.
