introducing the case against Ling Ling.
The facts:

“She” Joined Friday March 21, 2008.

“And I've been playing TT for 2 years, but am new to the site.
I'm 30 and a woman, I play TT for several hours per day.”

She’s 30 and has a small child at home. (she shared that in another post). But finds the time to play for “several hours per day.” Not likely.

She suddenly decides to join ptt2 after two years of play…also reports
“I mod a little. Not much. Mod in my spare time.” Yes, spare time. When you’re not raising your child or playing TT several hours a day. Also, most modders share info back and forth. It’s partially why they are registered users of PTT2. I wonder what took you so long?

Next: your avatar. After I made the point that “hot chicks” don’t play this game, you first said that you weren’t all that attractive. When I pressed my point, you said that it wasn’t your picture. You offered no rationale. Apparently it’s just some random picture of another women of Asian descent. Uh…yeah. A stock photo of someone who matches your reported demographics. Interesting choice.

Next, your name. After I pointed out that Ling-Ling is associated with negative asian (female) stereotypes and I doubted that a self-respecting Asian women would choose it, you told me that it was your real name…the name of your grandmother passed on to you by your mother. Nice try. Setting aside the fact that most of us would never give our real name as our TT name, Ling-Ling is a name of Chinese origin, not Japanese. You report Japanese heritage. If you knew anything about Sino-Japanese relationships and history, you’d know that the animosity between those nations is incredibly strong and deeply rooted. No Japanese Grandma is going to be given a Chinese name. Not going to happen. At the time your grandmother was likely born, a portion of China was occupied by Japan, as was Taiwan and Korea. Hatred and disdain were quite mutual. The Japanese conquered, raped and pillaged their way around Asia. They weren’t on a mission of cultural exchange.

Basic Japanese Phonetics. In the Japanese Phonetic system, the name Ling-Ling is not even pronounceable. Japanese follows a syllabary alphabet. Every phoneme is comprised of a consonant/vowel combination with the exception of the five basic vowels, and one consonantal phoneme that corresponds roughly to our /n/. There is no phoneme that corresponds to the /Li/ part of Ling and no /ng/ either. Your name would be pronounced…that is, mispronounced as /ringu-ringu/. If for some very un-Japanese reason, this was your Grandmother’s name, it would have had to be written in Katakana-not Kanji or Hiragana. Katakana is the alphabet reserved for foreign words borrowed into Japanese. The prospect of that happening – that is, the prospect of your grandma being given an unpronounceable foreign name that has to be written in the alphabet for foreign words and not in Kanji—that prospect is utterly absurd.

So, who are you really? More importantly, why do you come here to an anonymous medium and try to pass yourself off like this? What is your purpose? In an age of internet predators, I sincerely question your motives. Especially given this context. This site is at least 50% minors. Your intentions have to be viewed as extremely dubious and possibly predatory. Admins need to know that you are not likely who you say you are.

Plus, as my wife has recently been found to be housing a new "light tank" in her womb , if "she" is claiming twins, that is not possible for you to know in your first month. Trust me. I asked my wife's gynecologist for fear of having 2 kids on my hands.

Also, while most of TT'ers with kids find it difficult to balance family life and TT, "she" can balance all this AND find time to whine about lack of army activity? Especially in a new "kiddie" army like BMT???

Let's say all of your claims require stttttttrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeetttttttcccccchhhhhhhhh of the imagination. And funny on the "no room for science and religion" but close off with an unprompted Happy Easter, which is definitely a religious holiday.

If you two are going to follow me around and harass me, I'll humor you and answer your argumaents. First off:
I have a nanny. That is how I can play so long.
I didn't get to choose my name and I never studuied Japan or China becuase I focus on my nation.
My gynecologist told me that. We really dont have enough money to go to a good one so maybe he lied to me. How should I know? I trust him.
I beleive I never stated my hair/eye color and other qualities, so that is not my picture, unless you somehow now what I look like.
I don't like sharing mod information. I keep that to myself.
And. last time I checked. I was a woman.

Your ignorance of Japanese doesn't explain away the reasoning i've detailed for why that isn't your real name -- why that name isn't even phonemically permissable in Japanese, and how its of Chinese origin. remember: you were stupid enough to claim that it was your name. if you can't follow my reasoning, i doubt you are an adult. you may think you can hide in your ignorance. but we still see you. the points i've made against are still there, unanswered.

Your grandmother was Ling-Ling? Was she full-blood Japanese? That should help clear some of the "ahem", misunderstanding.

I would say being lied to about having twins is grounds for revocation of medical license, not to mention million dollar lawsuit. Plus, anyone who studied first-year pre-med can tell you that you that the zygote does not develop into detectable twins in the first month. The soonest human tech can find twins is 6 weeks, although that is on the rare side, and you should definitely know by week 9 and on. I asked my wife's gynecologist on the oft chance that reproductive science does seem to have cases of "once in a blue moon" shots. You don't have to be a reputable doctor to know that. So apparently neither you nor your husband, or anyone in your family, not to mention your gynecologist, who you trusted with your first child apparently, studied basic human biology in college? And you can afford a nanny??? What do you do for a living?

On the off chance that you are telling the truth and you are "once in a blue moon", what test did you do to determine twins and when?

You focus on your nation, yet by your own admission, you have Japanese blood and you ignore it? So you never wondered why your heritage has American and Asian influence, and yet in your intro, "I am American of Japanese descent"?
On the oft chance that you are telling the truth, how do you explain what stinkfingers brought up?

I am thinking more that your name refers to the parody of Pikachu of Pokemon fame and that you are "trying" to create an alter ego different from either the attention-wanting little kiddie girl you are or you are creepy man-child. Either way, busted.
