Whats with the ghost servers??

So whats up with the multiple servers like MI: Banlist Lush Indy and IA Snows Resort? I keep seeing multiple servers of them, all with the same people in them. Today I saw three of the same servers, one with two in them, another with one person in it ( not one of the people in the two servers) All the servers work like normal servers. I think there may be one for every person in the server, for some weird reason, as one time I saw about 7 ghost servers for a server that had seven people in it. Any explanation? Am I the only person seeing these?

There were some fake servers running today. I guess it's someone's idea of a joke.

This happens to me sometimes too. Some days i see 7 of one server! All the same. But that was weard, if you want more information check out the form called, Does anyone know who runs this server

this is a common Master Server Bug, it's not done on purpose, it just happens randomly sometimes.

I've run across this phenomena many times, it's best to just ignore it. but I thank you for your concern

The imposter servers are from dateman's IP address.

The real MI: Banlist Lush Indy server's processor is listed as 1416 Mhz.

The real IA: Snow's Resort server's processor is listed as 500 Mhz.

The imposter server is 2000 Mhz and currently has 10 players max.

I knew it was him and he has done this before. How about some apology Tinkerbelle for accusing TankRaT. I would never make a server - I did once when we were on Hell's Army and boy did they experience lag BIG time.

Just watchout for the Mhz and the number of players on the fake ones.

FYI- It's not a master server bug. I have never seen it happen. I am happy you are are concerned about it. The internet/online games can be shrouded by people that do not have the best intentions. Question everything, educate yourself, don't just pass it off. Good way to get hurt.

What would motivate Norm to host bogus servers? What's he up to? Is he fishing for IP's? What can you do with an IP address? Please educate me/us.
