Double-Clicked on TGE... Now What?

okay, but now I have no terrain! just objects.

Please remember that stock maps do not work!

You ll have to use another mod to start from, in the past i have used a Dash mod (D4) but nowadays I have an empty map to start from. Then it should show, otherwise something is wrong (obviously).

ok. now I get this:

You do not have the correct version of Torque demo or the resources needed to play on this server, please contact the system operator or visit the Torque project web site for more information (Invalid Packet).

what's this about an Invalid Packet? Am I missing objects?

I am not an expert on this but i ll give it a try.

1. Did you install the data folder correctly?
It should be in the game folder which you have to create in the same map as the TGE application.

2. You did launch TGE through the terminal right?
it should be something like this:

/Users/joren/ThinkTanks/TGE/Torque\ Game\ Engine\ 1.4.2\ Demo/Torque\ Demo/Torque\ Demo\ OSX.app/Contents/MacOS/Torque\ Demo\ OSX -console -mod game

So basically: file-path -console -mod game

These are the only things I can think of, you have to do them BOTH.

One map that i always find to work great is DB10

the name of the .mis file is db10.mis try that one if you havent gotten it to work yet
