I think the reserves should be the designated practice squad, not because they are 2nd tier, but because they would give tight competition.

Perhaps the servers should be given an assigned number. For example, Dash's is server 1, BC's MI is server 2, and BC's IA is server 3. That might eliminate the "we were here first go to another server" hostility.
