Did anyone take Rogue's Wife's Boyfriends as a team name? We'll consider it for next tourney.

The last couple of seasons we had a pre-scripted rotation of maps. So each week we played on a different map.

What about this idea for this season: We have 16 specially made Roo maps to choose from for this season, but we only need 10 regular season maps and 2 post-season maps. So one idea is to vote each week on whichever map you want to play on. Of course only one map would be chosen for everyone. Then once we play on it we scratch it from the list.

Otherwise we will have to make some quick decisions. It might be kind of cool because we will get to know the maps better as the season progresses, as I am sure many of us will be hosting these maps regularly in other servers.

Here is the map_pack for hosting this season's maps: PSL13 MAP PACK for Hosters.

Please note: this is only needed by people hosting maps (like BC and dash). For all you regular schmoes, "fogedaboudit!!" The terrain files for the maps have been in the Mod_Pack updates folder (at reagentx.com) for many months now, so you probably already have them.

And: "THANK YOU HOSTERS!!" Your dedication to this important job is what really keeps this whole thing going!

nah I still vote that tomorrow is used a pre-game. Rogue makes some good points but we need the extra week and I think going one more week into December is ok.

As for maps we can take the best ones then assign them randomly to the weeks. I think the voting just confuses the issues. I will pick the maps unless people have a problem. Please send me your top choices.

NUTS! and I just concluded a high level planning session:

1) we need more time so the season will start on September 26th
2) this will give us more time to go through the maps intentionally (forget the voting idea and we don't want to do a random order) to hand select them for the season.
3) everyone will have time to work out any glitches
4) there will be a pre-season scrimmage this week to get things started!

Players: be sure you have e-mail contact with your captains!

Captains: please be sure you have e-mailed the league password to all players on your team. Also tell them to install the teamskins files and adjust their port settings!

I need team names!!!

I cannot make the start of season, but I would love to be added as spare add-on to team that loses a player or something, that is after I get my relocation completed and high speed cable internet...sometime after Sept. 27th.

What's deadline for those skins btw?

Hi Dr. Sure I can add you to the reserve pool. We would love to have custom blue/green skins - the season will start on the 26th.

YIKES: we are missing one file for the teamskins. It is called "teamtanks.cs". Does anyone have this file? I had a zip file of what I though was complete, but BC pointed out that we are missing one file for hosters. Can some of you who have been around for a long time check your computers for this file?

If you are seriously thinking of doing the team skins, you need a week to work out the bugs. get the instructs filtered out, questions filtered back, answers posted ....
That will take time.
Since it had been posted that this week would be a dress rehearsal, or scrimmage I believe were the words, I say we go with that.
I hadnt checked ptt all today and with work, kids, soccer practices, etc... may not get to all the skins loading for a day or so.

Also, not clear on what the thoughts above were about the season maps, just be sure that everyone has equal access to the maps we play on. Wether they be released week by week or all in beginning of the season.
I think it is always better to have a map pack decided on.
Democracy on the run is a very cumbersome process.

Besides then we can blame any maps we dont like on NUTS.
