i'd say no way to a euro server. there is a euro scrum league. if you want to play on a euro server sign up there.

west coast servers are fine by me. but it could get tricky, what if you are the only west coast player on your team? surely you wouldnt want to play in a non west coast server then? couple of suggestions...

i know most of us are familiar with each other, but a designation of who is west coast, midwest and east could be useful during the draft.
once draft is over, if there is a predominately west coast team they should state that they would like a west coast server in the rotation. each team they face during the season can be played once in a west coast server and once in a midwest/east server...like a home and away game. no sense in doing this for every team cause why would two east coast teams wanna play in a west coast server, right?

yes that makes a lot of sense.
I kind of just wanted to get that subject out for discussion.
I know there is plenty of grumbling amongst west coasters about it and best air it early.

you are right that west coast servers could affect game roster decisions.
The home and away scenario might work well.

I would be against a Euro server. Hard to justify for a few players, sorry.

Yes one thing to keep in mind from a Captains perspective. That if you are facing a team that is mostly west coast based you may have to play one game on a west coast server (there home game) and it will be up to you to make sure you play the next game were you want.

I am not sure of the layout of games and such but if you would like to be part of the decision process throw your hat in the captains chair. Of course love to hear all sides, but voting will/does remain with captains.

If you're going to ID individual players via their geographical location at draft, why not set up the draft with a requirement that the geographic locations (embodied by players) are spread evenly over all the teams (i.e. no one team would have proportially more East Coasters or West Coasters than another). Obviously when we bear out the math, there may be a team with one more of one type of regional player than another team, but overall, it would help to achieve balance and spread the lagg equally, in theory that is.

all this server crap is stupid. there are never enough servers. it doesnt matter where they are. if there is an empty server available you jump in and get it on!! west coast servers are the laggiest for me and the most challenge. i need a challenge since ive learned to adapt to rooster's lagfest. in fact on dash's its not much fun because only a handful of players give me any challenge at all. im game for whatever but i warn that this server thing could start more problems than it would solve... good in theory poor in practice!!

also i thought the home and away teams was terrible btw i hope we never do that again!! same maps and there was no correlation with the home team having an advantage.

i like the fantasy scrum league!! im sure i could make some money by making sure things happen one way or the other...

I tend to agree with you... I'm not bothered by one server over another, but do notice lagg on some others. Unless it's paralizing lagg, I live with it. The strategy I outlined above may help mitigate issues on which server we play on since whatever the server is, the handicap would be equally distributed. However, as I said, I'm neutral to it not happening either as I'm not suffering perhaps as much as other laggers.
