@ Roos - I cahnged the packet sizes as you recommended in my prefs. This seems to have improved my fire rate (in that game just then) but movement has tiny jerks in it. I can't find the High Latency packet tweak which you mentioned in the game recently. I tried the Latency link in that section but the link isn't working.
I will have another look with OofFa (my expert in all things PC) but if you could steer me in the right direction it would be much appreciated.
I have a post higher up, does it make any sense what I am saying?

That is what exactly I had in mind... Exactly, which would further cut down on the number of people playing. Maybe we could just have 1 or 2 servers that require the script so people like nuts could play without worrying that people are "cheating".So, to be able to have that script in one server, every player joining the server would HAVE to have the script installed...

^ Dude, you refuse to read. Your comments are more inflamatory than helpful. All I am trying to do is make the game better for EVERYONE. Do you not think I know that if I see someone already smoking slam into them pop them in the air, get 2 clips into them (or what looked liked hits.....) then we both start nailing each other again, yet I die, thats fair to you? How would you feel if I and everyone else started to use proxy and running and ton of stuff in the background? Lets just make the game more laggy, instead of better.

Nuts we don't notice the lag. If we did see what you described happening then yes we may get a little mad but I don't notice people lagging that much, when they do I still kill them so I don't know where all this is coming from. We don't want to get kicked because we don't have some script. And all the TTers who don't know of PTT2 are going to wonder why they were kicked too.

Ultimately, I am not even favor of the punkpuster script myself, even though you could place a screen to have it tell people why they were unable to leave or kicked. And do not think TT has the stuff installed to really check anyway.
Play on have fun. Seems what you guys want. I have plenty of other things to do. A reseorce for PhysX is out, the modernization kit has been updated, and I have the new PyTorque.

It'd be easy to tell people a message when they are kicked, like "To join this server, you have to install the Anti-Cheating script. Also, about TT not having the code to check for cheating? To check for memory hackers, and such, nope, but to check for preference changes (like changing the packet preferences willingly so that you actually create lag) it'd work perfectly...
Perhaps for leagues? As I've seen that you usually require that the packet stuff has been changed? You could get all members to install the script and make it check if the Packet preferences actually have been changed...
