Well....egg 1 and 2 hatched in timely fashion, but they skipped egg 3...egg 4 opened. Eggs 3, 5, and 6 still look like eggs.


Interesting thing I learned from this, the male bird Rio, crazy freak time over here....pacing, eating like 4 hrs straight, but mostly the water!
He just cannot seem to stay out of the water and is constantly bathing. I posted this concern on my tailfeathers forum with reply being that the male stays wet to raise the humidity in the nest so that the eggs don't get too hard...so the chicks can still "break on through to the other side". - doors lol
I found that most interesting! But then again, I'm a major major nerd. hehehehehe
