$24 per hour??? Maybe she should make some more apple crisp, she obviously works in the cafeteria. My wife has been a teacher for 20 years, masters degree, plus 40 hours.

Am I the only one getting laid on this forum you nerds?

Heh... teachers with nothing to do...

I've been at this job for decades. It's always a challenge, I keep getting better at it, and I never have time to get everything done. I could easily do with another hour of student contact time a day and a couple more weeks in the year.

I wouldn't even ask for too much more pay for it.

By the way, it took 10 years or so in this job to reach the point where I could afford a moderate standard of living.

Here's a good link about how job cuts affect students...

and yes, I'm a card carrying member of the NEA.

Am I the only one amused that a teacher can't properly distinguish "affect" and "effect"? :tankerwinks:

MM you...

got me on that one. I'll admit it too. Wasn't so careful with my usage. My bad. Edit made.

Now, if someone has something of substance, I'm willing to read it.

Stink and Get some:Maybe I should put things into perspective regarding my wife and her work.

I make really good money. My wife DOES NOT have to work.

She feels the need to do something. She loves her work, maybe thats why she feels she is overpaid.
