What's there to do? I don't plan on smoking or buying porn. I don't feel like having sex just because I'm 18, it's against my values. I'd rather wait and make love to a girl that I care about and want to hold in my arms until we both perish due to old age.

So should I just embrace this age, or is there stuff I can do that I don't know about?

Congratulations, you are now eligible to be charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor for hanging out with your 17 yr. old friends. And make sure that girl is 18 or more to avoid statutory rape charges and having to register as a sex offender. Have you registered for selective service yet? Happy 18th!

When I turned 18, it meant I could buy beer. Not that way anymore.

Registering... that's the big one now. Register for selective service and don't omit the register to vote piece. I was one of the wave of guys who got to go register in the early 80s. Selective Service had been gone for several years. Was sure I'd have to go to Iran.

^^Check the state you live in, the legal age of consent varies by state. The farther south you go, the age will drop and will also depend if you're related to the person.

Not giving sex up completely. If I'm in a relationship and I care a lot for her, it might happen. I more of meant that I don't want to just do it for "fun," because that can sometimes lead to un-wanted relationships, especially with these kids today.

If I wasn't in the US, a drink every now and then wouldn't hurt. Oh and the dungeon of course, haha.

I'll get around to registering, my teachers thought it was funny to give me more work on the week of my birthday...so yeah...haha...I guess.

Well yeah it's fun. The point I was trying to make is that you can have fun with a girl in other ways besides sex. I'm in love with a girl right now, so sex isn't my sole aim at the moment. How do I know I'm in love? Well half my brain is thinking about her and the other half is trying it's best to not mix with the other side. Also what I said in my previous post, some girls think you love them because you have sex with them.

Not everyone shares the same values of course. I show the upmost respect for women, they're not objects. Just sharing that so that you can see I'm very old school.
