if we go with 6 teams i'd prefer not to captain, but if we go with 7 (or 8 ) I guess I could show for draft day...

8 teams of 5 is a recipe for disaster with summer schedules and unavoidable defections mid season, imho.

ACA is certain he wants to play , just cant get on ptt2 yet, as he lost his passwords etc.
If anyone has access to those that could forward them to him (or to me , who can forward them to him) that would help.

I think 7 teams is not a bad idea. The question would be finding something that will work scheduling odd # of teams.

I don't think we should consider 8 teams of 5 because of summer attendance irregularity.
