@baba

So let me get this straight, if a president is black, we must not lampoon him or criticize him? And any attempt to lampoon him "raises the specter of racism". C'mon man! Don't be such a dingus! You render yourself quite lame with such a tired rhetorical device!

You are so very tedious and tiresome. Take a cue from your hero Obama why don't you! I cannot stand his politics, but I really do admire the way that he has not resorted to race as you always seem to do. He has set aside the buffoonish practices of race baiters like Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton. Why don't you? Don't you think that If your argument has merit it should stand on it's own? Must you always prop your words up with the supposed racism of your opponents?

Martin Luther King said that a person should "not be judged by the color of his skin, but by the content of his character" . Love that! Agree with that. Consider it one of the greatest things ever said in America. Have made it one of the foundational principles of my life. Why don't you? You would have all the world say nothing negative about Obama simply because of his color. That's judging him by the color of his skin pal.

I read, I think, and while still living in a free country ("still" is the operative word here), I will freely express my opinion. What follows is mostly from the public record and certified racist free for Baba's consumption.

President Obama is a conceited, mean spirited, liar who is incapable of giving a speech without teleprompter.

He is ham-handed in dealing with international affairs. He is alienating our allies.

He apologizes to dictators and bows to them.

He is fond of stopping arguments by saying "I'm the president" (childish...insecure)

He wants to control more and more aspects of our life

He embraces big government and is a socialist

He is an embarrassment to our country. (as a bad as; if not worse than George Bush)
For example, He gave the queen of England an I-pod.... as if she'd never seen one before. How parochial! I can hear the president reading the little teleprompter in his mind, "Certainly the queen of England wouldn't know anything about one of the largest trends in the music industry ever..you know she's so stuffy with her tea and crumpets and all that funky english stuff" He stereotyped and profiled her! I smell a racist! Don't you Baba? Reverse it...and see what you come up with. I'm not like you of course. I don't see a racist, I just see an inept and unimaginative idiot. And don't say his staffers did this for him, in international affairs presidents actually do buy the gifts they give...it means something then. Clinton was known for his exceptionally thoughtful gifts to foreign leaders as was George Bush Sr. and Jr. and Ronald Reagan. But Obama gives an Ipod. Idiot.

Obama is not only ill-informed, and inexperienced, he is cold, distant, churlish and quite unlikeable. He is Chicago politics through and through. Corrupt and strong armed. David Paterson. David Paterson. David Paterson He undermined a standing governors position. I'm sure this is important to you, Baba, David Paterson is blind! On no, maybe Obama is an ocularist! He judges people according to their eyes! That's got to be it! Or maybe he was so mean to paterson because he is different shade of black...what do you think? (That's what you'd say baba, because you are incapable of going much deeper than the outside appearance of a person, but that's not what I'd say...I think Obama behaved disgustingly because he was strengthening his party using any means necessary...chicago style. Obama likes power. See how often he says "I'm the president".

Okay now Baba what are the odds that Baba will:

1. call me a rasist

2. insult my intelligence

Oh the irony. "rasist"

Now that's comedy.

I can't find the connection between your post, which is devoid entirely of fact, and Baba's post. At what point did Baba state his unwavering love for Obama?

I think your reading comprehension skills are already dissin' your intelligence.

Obama just thwarted insurance companies from denying coverage to children with a pre existing condition. That Commie bast@rd!

Exactly what was accomplished in that video.
It made me sick to watch it. Doesn't matter
who they were. Beat all opposite color people
that pass by and destroy and rob your own community.
Just saying the racist thing goes both ways.

And you are right there are certain places I would never go.
And hope I never end up at one of them.
At least till Illinois passes the conceal carry law.

Anyway I see the healthcare reform was passed.
HMMM wish I had time to read 2000 pages of double talk and gibberish,
so I knew what really got passed instead of relying on the media.

@rogue
Indeed, irony

rogue thinks he's clever but does not understand subtlety. Let me lay it out for you

People above baba posted pictures of obama lampooning him

Baba called it play time and posted lynching victims

Subtle message....that you apparently missed: Baba say "Be careful my foolish children...you're heading towards dangerous racisim"

And as far as what I said being

"devoid entirely of fact"

Prove it you blow-hard! And you better... prove every bit of it because you used the word "entirely"

We can all grant largess with other people's money. Did Obama provide health care reform and additional out of his own pocket? No. We have to pay for it with our taxes and our money. Do any of us believe that somehow the additional costs won't be passed onto the consumer?

What a noble human being. Spending other people's money to do good deeds. Maybe I'll do that next time and win a Nobel.

By all estimates, it'll cost $940 billion over the next 10 years. I'd like to see the impact to the US budget and economy before saying more about it. How many pages was that bill again?

^Around 2,000 give or take a few.

There is no way anyone person can or could have read (or at least) understood everything in it.
How many counter dictions you think are in it?
How many lawyer"s do the insurance companies have going through finding all the loop holes?

This was all done too fast to be correct. The president just wanted to be able to say he did it no
matter the consequences on the people. Obama is trying to do things that would take years to straiten
out in a matter of months.

Here's a carefully thought out analysis on the opposition...

If you make less than $250K per year and are opposed to this bill you are either an ideologue, a racist or a fool.
It's not a philosophical difference.

One day you may look back on this debate and realize that. Or not. But it truly is that simple.

Jewels like these are sure to win over converts:
The provision, which permanently exempts Nebraska from paying Medicaid costs that other states must pay, helped win Nebraska Sen. Ben Nelson’s vote on the massive health care bill.
Justify a national health plan reform which permanently provides for free Medicaid ride for Nebraska, and other aspects which seem to be unconstitutional at first glance (fines from IRS for not having insurance for one, 10th amendment violations for another).

Yes, those darn constitutionalists are ideologues, racists, and fools. Nothing wrong with ramming a huge bill in short time to effect change by stepping all over the Constitution.

Oh good, this has gotten much more interesting than silly cartoons....
Take that you rascally rasists.

@ Hoplite - perhaps it was the 12 hour night shift I just got off from but I really had a hard time gleaning anything very meaningful from your long rambling and clearly very angry post.
I did glean that you mentioned Obama's name 8 times and mine only 7 times and for that I'm a bit pissed.

Of course perhaps it was that during my shift I took care of a patient who had lost his health insurance (along with his job of 18 years) last year and therefore did not go to see a doctor when he started having Abdominal pains, until the pain and the weight loss and associated symptoms got so bad his wife literally dragged him in. The Cat Scan show widely metastasized tumors spread throughout his body. Inoperable, chemo and radiation might slow the inevitable, but not for long, and these final months will be painful and agonizing for all. A shame, he was trying to not "waste money on seeing a doctor" so he could send his kids to college (University of California has seen tuition increases of over 30% the past year), now he'll never see them graduate.

@ GRRReat - yep no race has the monopoly on stupid , or ignorance or racism that is for sure.
You know the funny thing about these 2000 page bills is that , of course few of us really read them, so we rely on others to chew and digest them for us, select the points that we like/ dont like from them, and then set forth defending or attacking them as though we really have a clue.
We all tend to gravitate to sources (media or otherwise) that we feel some identity to , therefore we get the analysis that we want.
Kind a self perpetuating loop of belief systems if you know what I mean.

@ Hoplite (2nd post) aha, you named me 3 times and Obama only once, that puts me ahead 10 to 9, feeling much better now.

@ FoFo - what if you make more than 250k and support it?

@ MM - Not that there aren't equally heinous inclusions in there somewhere but I think that Nebraska compromise provision was cut at the end.
A deeply unpopular special exemption for Nebraska from all new Medicaid expenses -- known as the "Cornhusker Kickback" -- would be eliminated under the compromise plan. The federal government will instead assist every state by picking up 100 percent of the costs of expanded Medicaid coverage between 2014 and 2016, and 90 percent starting in 2020.
http://www.cnn.com/2010/POLITICS/03/21/ ... /?hpt=Sbin
Fact of the matter is politics in this country is based on the art of compromise, deal making, subterfuge and the like.
Virtuous stands on policy generally are left on the campaign trail.
