And the connection between whatever the the Tea Party movement stands for and the hecklers is...Baba wrote:Meanwhile those heroic tea baggers out to save America's soul

Who's koolaid are you drinking Baba? I don't know that much about the the tea movement, but it took .5 seconds for it to occur to me that the hecklers were probably planted and paid by Democrats.
Good grief Baba, do you understand that when you choose to use the term "tea bagger" you are being just as crude, vulgar and bigoted as the hecklers?
So now the diversion is DEM vs. REP vs. TP? The real issue is that Washington has reached critical mass and now exists for its own sake.

Baba you've hit a new low...exactly who are you trying to villify with those graphic pics? Class act...not exactly sure what pictures of lynched individuals decades ago has to do with how the president is performing, it seems you march to the beat of a different drummer.
Should I post pics of a family friend(white), and police officer in my town, who was shot and killed by a black assailant last tuesday? Wouldn't benefit much, officer was from a good family, so was the shooter.
Google Jimmy Kerstetter...
Seems as though it's time to get past the black white thing.

"but it took .5 seconds for it to occur to me that the hecklers were probably planted and paid by Democrats"
BC, you do realize what a completely weak statement that is don't you? You say it took you a half second to realize they PROBABLY WERE planted by Democrats. I mean if you can pass judgment in a half second "probably" shouldn't precede "were."
That sentence can't even be taken seriously, please amend.
The Tea Baggers party is filled with racists. I don't need a probably for that statement.

Re: Our president, not many threads about him.
@ BC, I'm glad you can divine reality in under a second, for me it takes at least a few minutes.
AS for my apparent slight on the Tea Bag crusaders, I believe they are often seen draping their hats with tea bags, apparent drawing links to their past heroes.
@ dad, yes it was a National Enquirer entry, to be sure.
Perhaps the historical reference is lost on you (and many others no doubt) of hysterical mobs of whites attacking Blacks or other non believers.
For me the racist thread that runs deep in the Tea Party Movement / Right Wing revulsion over a Obama victory (no not all of the above are racists, blah, blah, blah) combined with the devolution of this thread into questionable cartoon character swipes (I bite my tongue on what I want to call it) set me off.
I'm sorry for the loss of your friend, I was working ER when the four officers were slain in Oakland just a year ago, Also was working when Oscar Grant was killed by a police officer on New Years a Year ago. Both episodes extremely upsetting to all involved.
Nonetheless I was referring to a historical legacy of racism that this country was built on, in its foundation.
That racism is alive and well and gets further rebirth at bad economic times such as these when people look for quick enemies and scapegoats to blame for deep and systemic problems.
No one want to be "preached at" about the race thing. It remains a prickly issue for everyone to deal with.
Unfortunately the whole "cant we all get past the black white thing" approach is a real easy thing to say for those who dont continue to live that legacy on a daily basis.
I mean I sympathize with the notion, dont get me wrong, just just not that easy to wish it away.

How did this get about race.
I don't think the Obama ratings reflect a race reason.
By the way there is no racism in the U.S.

Yes thats right GRRReat every white boys fear.
Those Black people get so uppity they leave the hood, move next door, date your sister.
Or maybe they dont leave, but some night after watching a basketball game (oooh they are so good at sports!) you take a wrong turn and OMG there you are in the wrong neighborhood and they whup your butt (or more probably give you directions back to the suburbs).
A lot of stupid actions are based on fear.
No race has the monopoly on stupid.
