Sounds great, keep us up to date and when it becomes clear what expenses will be we can make a plan and solicit.

Re: Data center servers for leagues?
Let me know how I can contribute.
On the Xserve... I can't help but think that one of those could easily handle three servers at one time. I may be wrong, but I'd love to push one to find out how much it can take.
I may be able to get my hands on some surplus Mac stuff in the next few months. I'd expect a couple of those to be available at this point in time.

I had a bad experience with roadkill, so I now prefer beef, pork, poultry, or venison. It seems you should make sure the roadkill is not just stunned.
Hmm, I haven't been in there for awhile.belikin(UF) wrote:Nothing against BC but What is this?Call me crazy but I prefer to read the treads in the dungeon about Three scoring.I just scored an Apple Xserve 1U, 2 x 1.33Ghz. server off ebay for $110

Its a pizza box size computer made to fit into a big rack. Here's a picture of the back of it. I just won another today, so I might not be ready by the weekend.

Re: Data center servers for leagues?
I got my TT ignition validation fixed and figured out another problem I was having that was due to running MacOS X on the Xserves instead of the Mac Server OS.
I've got 4 dual processor Xserves now and I might stick a Mini inside one of them. I'll get those onto my home connection to test the setup and then its off to KC to put them in the data center.
The snow finally melted here a two weeks ago, so I've been spending a lot of time building electric bicycles.
