I wish >_<. If I remember right Interior object support was removed since they weren't used. TT's TGE version is quite modified, loads of stuff gone.
Even if it works, driving on objects is impossible. The collisions system was modified.

Welcome to the game btw, I'm one of the scripters over here :P, even if I haven't been much active.

I recommend you install the never-ending download bar (my improved version :D) so that you know when TT decides to download anything from a server. Warfare's Modwizard is also a must if you are thinking of modding. IPJoiner v3 (guess who made that :D) is also a must in case the master server ever decides to go down.
Also, in case you haven't try out ACASv3 (Art Crazy's Admin Script). The biggest script I ever made for this game :D (5k lines total or so if I don't count comments and blank spaces) and the only gui-based admin script that's been released so far.

As for GUI modding, you can of course skin it, but if you want to actually change something you'll have to resort to a few other tricks, like what I did for ACAS or IPJoiner. PM me if you need further information, I might be able to help. (might take some time to answer, don't check here too often)

As far as the gameplay itself goes, not much of an expert. I haven't actually played for like 4 years :P, yet, I recommend Dazzle's modded gametypes like Rollerball and Capture the Flag (the latter also a work of my own :D) or LGM's KeepAway

Your Right On The money, Marble Blast Gold is Boss I have it and I guess I should maybe join the forums but anyway... Think Tanks is awesome I've been playing since 2004 and I'm still learning new stuff and tactics everyday! You might see me in-game as 00E -LT- a few times I'd like to see how good you are... Anyway I remember when I first played TT... My Grandpa said to me, Hey (insert Name Here) I just got a new game called Think Tanks... I was really excited and I got on and right away I was hooked even back when I was what? 8 years old... Yeah the part you have to get over is the fact that your driving a tank with a brain on top, which by my standard that's a bit odd... But once you get into some of the Mods like Jerry's Race Mods, Dazz's Rollerball, LGM's Keepaway (Boss), and even simple mods! you'll be amazed at what you can do! If you have any questions or just want to chat just PM me and we'll work things out!

I'll be sure to download some of your stuff sometime ArtCrazy.

And 00E, you sound like you've had loads of experience, You gotta teach me some stuff sometime. I'm not very good at playing ThinkTanks haha.

I'll be happy to work on a GUI skin for the game. Perhaps maybe mod some of the interface positions if I can decode some commands from the DSOs (I've done it before!).

As I said, I can help you with that. Decoding dsos is what I've done for a while :P Done a few "decompiles" before for some scripts, at least tried to. (ACASv3, IPJoiner, Customizable Chat, Talk While Loading and couple other "personal use" scripts)
Gui-dsos are even easier.
Also remember, TGE or any TGE-based game is your savior. Download a copy of Realmwars, most of the open-source code in that game can be used in ThinkTanks, not full files, but functions you find for example. (EXCEPT GUIS!!!!! DO NOT BRING OVER GUIS!!!! TT crashes.)

Welcome aboard.
like cloud said you need to get the dazzle mod pack. This will allow you to enter many more of the maps/games without waiting for them to load. In fact some of the maps will not allow you to load them while waiting to get into the game.

The battlemode game is pretty straight forward, if you are green you kill the blue and if you are blue you kill the green.

When you start to play srcum or team scrum you will have to observer the older players closely. The game has a lot of technique but that is what makes it fun.
