Been busy with the work thing and studying for my CMT. Have a little break before the merger and studying for Level II.......

I have always said that we vote with our dollars. So far I have been giving money to Paul, Grayson and Peter Schiff. I am aware that they are for less Government etc. But I truly think we need a cleansing of our Government. The current scheme of Republicans and Democrats is very scary, they are literally same. Want the same thing, to advance themselves, globalized elite, etc.

^ What about the Mexican and Canadian imports? Not to mention other countries which produce our cheap imports. You weren't complaining when cost of goods were coming down.

As someone involved in the wholesale distribution, I've seen prices fall almost 90% on many goods since the 90's. Nobody questioned the value of imports when everything was going great. But now that jobs are scarce, . . . they want even cheaper imports It's a vicious cycle.

We ourselves as consumers have killed our production.
By buying the crap to save a buck.
Remember all those guys out on the streets and such.
In the 80's and early 90's.
Crying out buy union by American!!!

They knew what was going to happen but no we had to get all those goodies at the rock bottom prices.
Now look where we are. The US is a big warehouse hardly any manufacturing going on compared to 20 or even ten years ago.

Awww come on no picking on our new owners, the Chinese. Who do you think has been buying all of our debt and helping to keep our rates down so we spend spend spend. Even though they are getting pissed off because we are not spending and our banks are starting to hoard cash and cut back credit, but yet our markets continue to go up. Even though our Fed is trying its damndest to kill our dollar but saying it believes in a strong dollar policy. Its not hard to stop killing your currency, stop selling and shorting the dollar. (or giving other countries cash to help short it, look at last grayson-paul bill).

You can not really compare China to Mexico/Canada, totally different economies. One has a heck of a lot more Government backing than others.

@Nuts, not comparing the level of governmental policy intervention nor the scale, just the fact that there are other sources of imports which drive down prices, but cost us manufacturing capacities. . .
