This is a collection of Skiining Tips and Tutorials created by the PTT community. This resource has been growing for years so everything you need to know about Skinning was here at one point. There are loads of things missing in the resource due to the loss of the old PTT, so if you find it upon yourself to re-create a missing item, please do so.

Blank template skins for all the tanks except Heavy.

They're great skins to start with as a base.

JUICY's Skin Templates

Very helpful for showing what goes where on the tank.

Bravetree's Original Shape Templates, Published by Jaj Jr

These are skin templates that allow you to see the contour of the shape you are putting it on. A must have.

The GIMP

The GIMP is a free and VERY powerful graphics program, Once you learn it, it is very good for skins.

Paint Shop Pro X

Formerly Jasc, it is now Corel Paint Shop Pro X, a great $79 tool just like Photoshop. I personally use Paint Shop Pro 7 because I like it more.

Photoshop CS Tryout

Photoshop is a graphics editor that all the pro's use, at US$649.00 it's not cheap, so
try the free 30 day trial and see if you like it first.

Paint.Net

A cool little freebie tool for graphics editing. Very small yet powerful!

Windows Only.

Torque Show Tool and How To use it

The TorqueShowTool Pro is a tool made by GarageGames that allows you to
mount(put) objects on another to see if the textures mesh together. A free 30 day trial.

Jaj Jr.'s Skin Viewer

The Skin Viewer is a free tool that allows you to open and see your skin on the tank/object.

It's not as good as the Torque Show Tool though.

Went to look on the Grey Treads on Mods. I got this:

404 Error - Not Found
The resource you have requested could not be found on the server. There are many possible reasons for this. Either the file does not exist, there is an error in your request, or the file is not accessible in the requested directory. Please verify that:

You have used the proper case; requests ARE case-sensitive!
You have entered the URL correctly. (i.e. proper directory/filename)
You used the FULL URL. (i.e. proper file type: .html, .gif , .jpg, etc.)
You use a tilde (~) before user directories. (i.e. http://www.furcen.org/~jurann/ )
The user/file still exists on this server.
