I have no problems with giving Obama a chance to work his policies, but what has he done in the time he has been in office to effect radical change?

Yes, the sky has not opened up, and there has been a lot of money spent. Trust me, I'm all too aware of this, albeit my primary ail is we have a moronic pig as a governor in PA right now. I have personally flourished under the Obama administration, but I'm ashamed to say I've yet to research whether it was his tax break, or some other legislation that helped me. I no longer have to pay federal income taxes, and I made sure the money I saved went into my rooming costs.

However, I doubt that everyone else has been as lucky, and considering my mom is, at best, going to be pushed down to 75% wage come december 31st (THANKS Rendell!), I'm guessing the $900 I've saved up so far won't be looking quite as shiny. However, the stock market is slowly pushing its way back up, and housing prices are leveling out. I know plenty of people who took advantage of the C4C plan, but I'm still unsure if that was an intelligent move in the long run. We'll see.

Also, my psychology professor recently pointed out that people who "have no problems with giving X a chance to work their policies" tend to be talking to themselves more than anyone else...

It took many years to get into this mess, and it aint going to be fixed over night. I can see this sort of thing taking decade after decade. I know 13 year olds that can put college kids to shame when it comes to politics.

Obama hasnt done a dang thing since he's been in office. Lots of false promises made to those who voted for him....

So far as threads about him the one with some of the most views in the dungeon are about him and it aint pretty...

@Cloud, agreed that kids are much more informed than they were in my day, thanks mostly to the internet. Just one question, is it healthy for 13 year olds to believe that had GW had remained in office, they would either be homeless or dead?

^^ Agreed. The only reason Obama was elected was because the other candidates sucked and he knows how to talk good. The novelty of Obama being black is wearing off. In Obamas campaign he promised "change." The only change I have seen in the last 10 months was a growing unemployment rate ( in California ) and 700 billion extra dollars in debt. I feel that the greedy big wigs didn't need a bail out because it's their own f**king fault that they used poor business tactics. If a local business ( like a hardware store ) goes out of business they don't get a bail out! In the end the generations to come will be paying for Obamas poor spending.

Obama?? Pfffft
It bugs me every time a new president gets up on that podium and takes an oath to "Serve and Protect the Constitution of the United States of America", and then basicaly uses it as toilet paper! I can't even start a list of how many laws of the constitution That the "President", just like the prior, and the one before, and the one before, and so on, have trampled. Worthless as a president. I am disapointed ole' Ron didn't becom president, he would have at least set the treads of ecanomic downturn towards reverse. No folks, McCain wasn't the answer either, "Destroy Destroy Fight Kill Murder Die Fight Die Police Dictate Rebuild Destroy Bomb Toture Murder Kill police Fight Destroy".

^ Ice, it is not the fault of the buisnusman, it is the fault of the meddling government constantly passing new laws destroying capitalism, the true bringer of ecanomic stimulus.

HA! HAHAHAHA! Oh man, that's great. The only bills that have been passed to destroy capitalism at its heart are anti-immigration laws. And those were bashed down anyways.

^^ Not true. I believe that greed is the main cause of the economic downfall. Take for example the housing market. When my parents bought our 2 bed 1 bath 35 year old condo in 2006 ( at the peak of the market ) it was worth $395,000. Now honestly folks... do you think a house of that size and age is worth that much? 15 years ago you could have bought a the same size house for $150,000! When the market crashed our condo lost 45% of it's value! When something like that happens you know its over priced. We had taken a loan out to pay for the condo. Monthly payment $3,000. We had gotten a quote and everything and the mortgage company said we could afford it. We ended up not being able to pay for it even though they said we could. We foreclosed and moved to our new apartment this summer. The same thing has been happening to millions all around the country due the the greed of big business. You tell me, who's fault is this? Obamas stimulus only gave big business another chance to be greedy all at the expence of the US citizens!
