Our president, not many threads about him.

Post by GRRReat »

I myself am dumbfounded.

Well people wanted change. They got it. Or did they?

$100 says he will not be reelected, that is if he makes it through his first term.

You know I'm only 13 but I know a few things about politics...

Obama has been in office for what? 10 Months about? To me you can't really judge him yet on how he's going to do over a 4 year time period... I really think it is way too soon to decide whether or not he will be reelected. All I know is if GW was still in office I'd be living on the street or dead by now... Also do you really expect that the economy crisis will be fixed in 10 months?!? He has definately slowed if not steadied the downfall... To me he's doing as good a job that I think anyone could do... If McCain would have been President... *Gags* I know yall' are tired of hearing this, but if he were to die in office, Sarah Palin would've taken over... AHHHH! But anyway getting back to the point I think you can't judge Obama on what he's done so far.

OK, 13 and you know something about politics. What is your basis for the GW comment? Also, you say that you can't expect a fix in 10 months, but you feel comfortable saying that he has definitely slowed the downfall. Double digit unemployment, not to mention adding trillions to the debt is considered slowing the decline? Have fun paying that off when you become a taxpayer. Not to mention your kids. Your kids' kids'. And your kids' kids' kids'. I think I can do that. Give me a chance.

The problem was, Obama made it sound like it was going to be a radical change for the better. Which of the promises he made prior to being elected has he stuck to?

We are in double digit decline but you guys are all missing the point... Could any of You all do any better, Could John McCain and Sarah Palin do better? What it looks like to me is that TT has a bunch Republican Conservatives! Pfft...

of course, the assumption is that we can't. I must disagree. It's not a solution to dump money on Wall Street and to reward people for their wrongdoing because you fear that things will get so bad that your party won't be re-elected.

What exactly is so radical and different about what Obama has done to earn your trust?

thanks 00E for the most intelligent and thoughtful comment on the thread.
Many were ready to bury Obama on his inauguration day, so it is no surprise that the quivers full of poison arrows should be ready to be fired so soon.

Here's to the youth!

Come on Baba, you can't believe things are getting better. Obama made history again as the only president who has had an economic "improvement" while unemployment rates increase. Please tell me what area of the country has shown improvement other than the scumbags we bailed out on wallstreet.

I'm happy the youth participate and care at such a young age. But as someone who has to pay a mortgage, I'm looking forward to the change that has been promised instead of "more of the same".
