Say I was playing with a new(ish) person tonight who said he was unable to register on ptt2 .
He said he was able to fill out everything except the when asked to put in the characters for the "Captcha", there was no box to do so, so he was unable to complete it.
Any clue why that would be and is it fixable?

Wow... that sounds like a real problem.

What username did they register? Do you know?

After trying it out myself, I don't buy it. The registration process looks like it's fine.

Let me guess, his name was something like 'Chestpit' I can't remember it exactly. He's an old vet which I believe is Larz. Caught him out on a few of his lies. Claims to be a 'new player' yet he told me a while ago that he used to be good friends with AO1 etc.. I also believe he is the one who is running the 'Mega Server'. We've all told him to go email CB/Doc Saw, and the link is even there on the sign up page if it isn't working, but I bet he's made no such attempt. He will lie to protect his identity, but I have no idea why. IP anyone?

yes that was the one.
Strange the cloak and dagger stuff.
He played in some larger late night ts games, then stuck around when most left and played with Argonaut (clearly a vet in disguise) against Grreat and myself.
Despite some lopsided scores in our favor he remained humorous and didnt cop an attitude.

I talked with him a bit afterwards and he explained his ptt2 dilemma.
Seemed a nice enough chap to talk to, not clear why he would not be honest on his registration attempts.
He described filling out the registration page numerous times but not being able to find the box to enter the "Captcha" to complete the process.
He said he talked to CB in game and was told that he wasnt in charge of ptt2.
Curious this....

Those are your four separate accounts here at PTT2 under the same IP. You can have the TB commander because it appears like an ARMY account and one other account unless you have other people using the same IP/computer that play Thinktanks.

The activation process here at PTT2 didn't have any problems that I know of.

Since Smeagol and Kirby are brothers, I think they are allowed those.

^ If that is true, then there is no problem but it would be wise for DoublePit2Chesty to explain himself in earlier posts so there wouldn't be so much confusion. So who are you really DoublePit2Chesty? Smeagol or Kirby? Or is this another relative which is totally OK.

If so welcome to ptt2 even amidst this confusion.
