We have this thing wrapped up.
In fact, Smacky is so confident of victory that he brought some bread by my place (see photo of smacky). When the toaster is delivered (via bolo) we will be ready.

did you try uninstalling then reinstalling planetthinktanks2? hehe...REALLY tho doc and cb control all these little bugs and nuisances from their PTT2 interface control panel...its not the code..hehe

TEAM SKINS INSTRUCTIONS!

I have -z-'s original team skins files and instructions. The setup is as easy as dropping in a couple of tank skins, and yet the payoff is huge! We did this many many seasons ago and it was really fun.

For all players:

You will need to copy all the files in the TeamTanks-Client.zip into the ThinkTanks/game/data/shapes/tanks/ folder (otherwise you will have a long download when you join the server). The files you are installing are actually a "green" tank skin as well as a "blue" tank skin.

For Hosters Only!!

You will need to install one script and then modify the main.cs file. You will also add " -teamskins" to the string you use to launch the server. Please see -z-'s original teamskins instructions for hosters about how to do this. Here is the teamskins script package for hosters.

And just a reminder about port settings please. http://nutstank.googlepages.com/changingthepref.cs

Additionally just wanted every one to know that I will be playing on the crappiest wireless router I can get. I will also be running behind a proxy with Tor. I will also make sure that every incoming udp packet gets checked by snort.

Is there a special download for server hosters somewhere?

^ I slapped together some PSL skins for the teamskins script. I dislike the original skins.

I will update the top post. I have been super busy this last week, but I am back now!

I am thinking that we should make this week a pre-season game. This way we can make sure we have the bugs worked out for the teamskins script, as well as it will give NUTS! and I a chance to finalize the map selections for the season. We can then provide the hosters with a nice map pack.

NUTS! are you around Monday evening? Perhaps we can Skype and work out the remaining details.

I think we should start this week. A ten week schedule if started next week runs us to November 21st. The 22nd is Thanksgiving and since most in this league are in the States that week will be a wash.

If we start this week we can end the regular season on the 14th and then start the playoffs on the 28th and be done by December 5th.

While NUTS! and I finalize the details, all players should check the top post on page 1, where there are instructions for two things you should do:
1) make sure you add the teamskins files to your TT application
2) make sure you adjust your port settings

Also, can someone help Ween to make sure he has the expansion pack files and Mod_Pack files in the right place? He is still having occasional troubles entering maps. The worst case scenario isn't really so bad: we can set up a server that rotates through all the maps and leave it up overnight where you can park and just "absorb" them.
