sooner the better to get it going would be the best.
So its rolling before PSL 16 starts up.
That said, it cant realistically start till after the holidays.
But if there is too much of a time delay, commitment wanes, people forget, the sign up list is faulty ... downward spiral.

Can there be some ground work done - like map selection and captain selection done in the interim?
Then the draft and start of season soon after new year.
Just a thought.
Keeping momentum going is key.
Also factor in extra players per team so we can ride through the inevitable no shows and cancelations.

I'm interested. I think the maps need to optimized/lag proofed like rogue suggested. New terrains are ok with stock shapes and textures. Requiring that people have the monolithic all in one super hella phat mod pack with zillions of shapes, textures and GI Joe with the kung-fu grip is bad. I remember sitting and waiting for loaders on tbml night because of this. Let's keep barriers to entry low this time round . I prefer a 10PM EST start. Any earlier than that and people on the left coast will have a hard time making it to games. I can captain,host, help run the league, whatever.

in the next two weeks i have to move...cant imagine what kind of craziness is in store for me considering everything else that is happening. i will have absolutely no time or energy to move this thing forward until after the holidays but i am confident in the players who have chimed in so far. more to come...

I definitely won't participate in a 10 pm start. After all the west coast scrum hasn't budged on time for the east coasters. TBM Leagues have always had a 9:30 east coast start but the problem was people were late and 9:30 became 9:45 or 10. I propose the 9 pm start and were sure to be off by 9:30. 10 should be out of the question here.

there is some tradition to having the 9pm east time.
makes it a bit easier for some east coasters, a bit harder for some west coasters.

The 9pm start time for whatever reason allows more unreliable players to join. I think this has been proven.

As Baba stated 9pm also all but eliminates the Left Coast. I'd rather lose the unreliable Right Coast folks than lose the reliable Lefties.

PSL starts on time why can't this?

Sure the late starts weren't just compounded by the map choices and the inability of folks to enter?
