@cannon - I have played with woot and more often than not, he does not respond. Yet we are friends because I know he is incapable of being nice. It's the Texan in him where he expects to be the big dawg, but realizes that with his advancing age and failing health, he's like Old Yeller and he's days away from being taken to the back of the toolshed for his "meeting with his Maker"...Plus, he's got Skype going and every messenger program under the sun, so he probably didn't read it. Or he didn't have his reading glasss on. Also, the last time he walked and chewed gum, ran into a tree. Don't ask me about the time he tried to put on his pants and socks. Horror story. Multi-tasker he certainly is not...
Tankerbel is the textbook definition of noobish vet. On some maps he really gets it and does well. Others he's all over the place and chasing scrum like it's his left testicle. Or it could that be that TT is the closest thing to being "Air Jordan" he has and wants to dunk all the time.

I have played the late nighters, which tend to be more intense than the early morning trips with the euros and the afternoon pick-up games. That being said, I can see where the frustration with the perennially lacking effort comes in. In certain cases, it is obvious that there is a total disregard for the team concept, or even picking up pointers from fellow teammates. It sucks when it is your turn to have that guy on your team when your time is valuable.

Set aside 2 hours in the day for "hardcore games". No taking potty breaks. No time to kiss the kiddies and the missus. Just straight up and play as if your life depended on it. If someone violates that rule, you, along with 2 others for the sake of not blackballing him, ask the host to ban him for 3 months until he gets his act together. Then if he screws up when reinstated, ban him. Simple enough. It is only a few that's ruining it for the intense crowd. It's not a pattern.

It is true that TT is a small community. No debating that. But for obvious reasons throwing up your own server so that you can get it your way is not feasible. No one is going to show up to a server where they ping triple digits and have tanks flickering all over the screen causing epilepsy.

Similarly, locking Scrumbag seems selfish. It is provided by dash as a resource for the community as I understand it and to limit it seems elitist.

Or we could always behead the worst 3 players on TT every 6 months. It should solve the "ibot" problem quick enough.

^^ Even changed his avatar.

C'mon Stinky, it' snot that bad. Copy that chit back to your hard drive and let get back to the game.

I'll join Skype and shower you with undeserved pleasantries.....

Folks, also keep in mind, Stinky and Woot have played many a game on the weaker team to try and continue good game play. The locked server was also a SUGGESTION for a better experience.

None of this is worth quitting the game, uninstalling, or exploring a man-man relationship.

Put your panties back on and get in the game. (Sheena, you are omitted from the panty statement, preference is to leave em off.)

^ Keep em on, adds a few more seconds to foreplay in my experience.

@ MM - I know the issue with the Skype & multi-tasking, I am the same, as I am rubbish at multi-tasking & also miss messages when talking. Just providing the other side of the discussion.

I also hear the issue with the frustrating players, they parctically ruined many of the games I was in last night. Maybe the admins need to some stricter guidlines & use Red/ obs more often. I have only seen 'shouting' as the route to date (other than Stinks efforts). It is an issue as TS is sooo dependant on a reasonable team balance. I had a BMT player on my side & I was more concerned about where he was in my goal than the opponents because he kept bumping me, but one doesn't usually cater for this in radar use. Whatever the suggestion, there has to be some give & take, Daz could have been banned due to some of his 1 on 2 goal attempts last night :p As I said previously there also has to be consistency, Tank (admin) was screaming at ibot & then doing the very thing he was screaming at him about...
Talking poppycock for as long as I remember...

The realization that turning people away from servers is an impossibility may help in stopping this current trend. I say this because there is nobody to replace the folks you'd be turning away. We, as a community, are not in the position to turn away lousy players, not speaking of bad seeds, because the reserve tanks are empty.

I'm not defending the play of the ibot's of the world. I just realize that in this very small part of the gaming world they're all that exists and there are no replacements.

Can't we stick to arguing about things here on this forum besides the game itself? I love it!

I personally think that everything has been said about the game itself. The only thing that isn't a constant in-game is the people and we are very few.

Let's argue about race, politics and how fat woot is on this forum instead of trying to keep people out of pick-up TS games. Sound good?

I DON'T THINK YOU'VE EVER SOUNDED SEXIER.

Butter not come around the mid-west or you'll be sold into Nap's black-market bride business.

Now, get the damn game reinstalled so I can shoot you for staring these arguments.

Complaining about other players makes playing the game less fun.

I'm not locking a TS Server. Someone else is welcome to do so. Good luck with that. You could call it the l33t snotty ******bags only server. Some games are going to be unbalanced and sometimes a new player is going to mess things up. Vets who play under aliases or behave badly need to be given the smackdown occasionally. New players however need to be encouraged, groomed and shown extra patience. I don't want people chased out of my server for not being "good enough". This whole hyper-competitive attitude is wierd. Just play and draw enjoyment from simpler things: a good block, a nice aerial, a nearly impossible shot, a sweet pass, a nice steal, a furtive glance at Rogue's butt.
Everytime you open your mouth in game ask yourself if you are building the community with what you are about to say or tearing it down.

You need to speak up more often. If it helps, you can use a sexy whisper~~~

Good thing come forth when you open your yap. :ike: :rtfm:
