Alias users,
If you see an admin trying to balance a game let them know who you are or expect to be booted, banned, excoriated,
and defecated upon.

Admins - please feel free to boot or ban aliases who won't answer up when you need their id to balance a game.

a team full of "runners" will always lose to a balanced team. i actually had some good games last night till through attrition and new additions we ended up as a entirely run based team. there weren't enough flags on the field for my team. funny watching the three blue blips race the two greens to the flag. why do you think the blue always got there first?
1. they didn't slow down to shoot.
2. green let 'em get ahead of them, then butt shot them out.

leaving green to then drive en masse to the goal. i think i touched the flag twice in two games. i don't know of a single "runner" who can't shoot well. not one...maybe rx. no one is rx but rx. dj is maybe the best "runner" in the game. he will also turn around and shoot you dead.

you think anyone on my team figured it out? nope. they just "ran harder." surprised i got cranky? surprised i wanted balance? so many bad games lately leaves a sour taste in my mouth. and now sluggy playing under an alias and refusing to tell us who he is...lame stuff lately.

luckily for me the carnival called and want me to run the whirling waltzer again this year. they're willing to forgive and forget about the time last year that i played "caligula" in the petting zoo after hours -- if i eat salt peter and work sundays too. it's a deal. i'll be off on the circuit, sleeping in a van, yelling at kids, oogling underage girls and playing poker till the am...the pirate's life. see you guys in a couple months. if you're in tacoma in august, look me up. be in boise too...mine's the 72 econoline with a mural of a monkey debauching a unicorn.

There is an answer for this problem, last time i suggested it tho I got my left nut lopped off, lock a ts server for vets, give the vets the pass, there are plenty of admins in dash's server which could admin in a locked ts server for vets. In other words, lock scrumbag with a password. Give the pass to the vets, and let the vets pass outt he password to the other vets. Word of mouth will get the pass out to all vets soon enough.

And we could see if dash could put up his 3rd server for the newbs and those that just cant seem to learn the team concept. I know your next question already, your going to ask... Well what do we do when one of the newbs get in, like stink says, it's EZ.......... Kick him, not rocket science, there are more vets leaving because of this problem and its not good for the game, if we don't do something or address this this is gonna end up a flash in the pan. I can put a server up, the problem is i end up with a zero ping there and some folks dont really appreciate it, also i could really use an upgrade from my isp, wheich I can do in about a month or so, but i could put up my server for the newbs if needed.

Beings most of the vets play from 10 pm est to sometimes 2 am est locking dashs an me opening mine for the newbs would seem to me to be a great idea for both scenario's. The newbs could get experience and learn to play in mine, while we go back to the intense games in dashs'. Any other thoughts?

It's too bad that there's not a script that automatically put the players names in the server based on IP address.
Script = no alias if you match a know IP address.

Most vets have the same IP addresses for long periods of time.

The other thing is you can always kick the people with alias's. But what do you do when Sluggy is playing under an alias?

Do you kick him? I still don't know why people play under alias's anyway.

Im with woot on this.. Locking Scrumbag is the best solution the way i see it.. As long as the pass gets handed out responsibly, it'll work well.

I dunno.....does the locked server pass go to all vets or just the ones that play well?
I myself may not be the best player but I have beaten alot of you when it comes to scoring....just curious...

well if you have to question yourself I would say get the pass, decide for yourself if you got what it takes. The scoring mentality is why we are at this point, the other night one of the greatest players in the game was on my team, we had 2 others 1 was a total newb he other was someone someone that was not so new, but has the "I got to have the flag" mentality.

This tanker private messages me and said it's a real chore blocking and clearing for these 2, and he was right, even if we could grab the scrum we defaulted to these 2 because if we did not block and clear they would run head long into the opposing team.

All most of us want is a few games as evenly matched as possible, with a few other vets. It's just not possible to have 3 vets and 1 newb against 4 seasoned vets. The close games are a blast, 17 to 4 doesn't really work for anyone.

So if your a vet maybe ask yourself can I hang with these that are in game now? The answer is one i'm sure all can come up with very easily.

Like I said just curious, and as far as I am concerned I hang very well...I blast away as much as I score so I consider myself well balanced I do my best to protect the scrum carrier if I do not have the ball...and I will clear the goal as best as I can...
I will say though leaving me at the goal by myself sometimes is just not a good thing I can shoot to a point but it seems others can shoot off better than I can and it blows my mind when it seems to take forever for me to kill when I'm shooting..
