Just tried to login to the IA site.
Here's what I get
Gateway Timeout
The proxy server did not receive a timely response from the upstream server.

Reference #1.3e461160.1220398017.2271c581
The entire site is down for me so I can't test out all the new things that you've been working on. Here's the biggest flaws in the IA browser design.

With the original TT;
No internet = solo or quickplay (you can even Scrum, TS, or TBM if you launch a server),
Master Servers down = IP joiner or LAN play.
Mods = a constantly changing game
Win, Mac, Linux = Game on

In other words, when I want play, wherever or whenever as long as I have the minimum computer specs I can play. I can carry the entire game around with my on a USB drive for several different operating systems.

With IA;
No internet = no game
No Website server = no game
No mods = limited or no change or improvement
Win only, Mac and Linux = SOL

Where I play, when I play and how I play is all limited.

I've been testing out the IA site every couple of months. I've tried all of their games that they have available when I do. So far there has been one very negative trend with them all. They're fun for about an hour and then they get boring. They just don't have gameplay that the original TT has. I've played a lot of games over the years but so far TT I've stuck with the longest. My PS2 sit's idle or is used for DVD's more than games now. I'm not buying a PS3 or Xbox360 because it's a waste of money for me.

w00t: If you want to disagree with what I'm posting, which is trying to get Joe/GG and PTT2 to meet halfway... do it constructively like The V did above me, or don't do it at all. I'm ok with ideas differing from mine, provided they are not simply posts to cause tensions and mistrust to rise. That's my problem with your post.

If you don't like me... good for you. I can't measure who my friends are without people who are not my friends to compare them to. Contrary to your thoughts, I do play the game when I can, which isn't often between all-honors schoolwork and a job. I take time to post here because I love this community, and very much like some of the people here and some of the discussions here, even if I have no way to put anything in (ie. the presidential debate). So, criticize my thoughts if you want w00t, but don't do it in a thread like this. Make a new one, get some support, and have a bash-on-Jedi thread. Otherwise, use ignore, or live with it.

Please, though, if you have a problem with my post(s).. point out the flaws. I'd love to hear them, because I'm sure there are some waiting to be found.

Woot, who made you the TT community bouncer?
lol
Your negative and hateful response aside, there have always been folks who contribute , participate in the community in ways other than playing.
Thats their prerogative.
There are modders and skin makers who I rarely see in game.
There are those who read and write on the forums here.
I kinda cringe at attempts to push people out of the nest when there seems to be plenty of room for all.

He doesn't want to disagree with what your posting, he wants you to leave, as he mentioned several times.

wOOt wrote:Jed, why are you here? You no longer play the game, and your just plain annoying with your biographical responses to a game your no longer involved in. Are you Bi-polar or just Bi? Please go away no one likes you and we all hope you disappear soon.
Was that really necessary? Did you really have to make that a public post and not a PM?

Some Texan woke up cranky today. Jed put in some good ideas, everything else personal should GTFO of this thread. :tankerconfused:

^^Where's my 2-goal scrum game, biaaatch??!!!

@Joe

Why can't we cut to the chase and you tell us what the lump sum is for GG - I assume they'd have you and one other programmer - to work on the updates we want for the original TT? Or does GG not do contract work? Are we not allowed to hire you out and put money in everyone's pocket? Or is that just too much heat? I'm really curious on this one because many of us are grown men here - some with deeper pockets than others - but we all love TT, know it needs to be fixed and revamped, and would like to see it happen sometime this decade. And, we're not afraid to pay for it. How much to hire GG to fix TT? Better yet, how much to buy the game straight out from GG? Everything has a price and more than few of us would like to know just exactly what that price is.
