I feel saddened, as your Son is a fine, outstanding person and you should be proud. But as a father myself, I know this is not what you should be doing if you want to give a good example to your Son. Your Son is respected in his own right and displays maturity beyond his years. I implore you to correct these misgivings so that he may continue here without any stigma attached to his characterbecause i know my kid likes you that i'll stop here.

Wouldn't mind at all, as I am not, so I would simply correct you. I wouldn't go on a rant & make myself look foolish, swearing & using terrible spelling & grammer on a site viewed primarily by young kids.

^^ I'm in no way trying to judge you, or how you lead your life. I'm just asking that you re-consider that maybe there is a good side to most people here. In some cases it just takes a little more digging. I'm not implying wOOt or Pacifico are such a cases, IMHO they are GOOD guys.

All of us suffer from the occasional indescretion from time to time, none of us are perfect. Maybe this was such an occasion in Roo's?

I'm only asking for the benefit of your Son. I too was 14 once and at that age you are very impressionable and this could hurt him a lot.

Anger is the easiest response to insults and misbehavior in a game, but there are steps to remedy this. First, email the server owner with the details so that we can verify the identities of the players and the veracity of the claims. Then, the server owner will respond with his view of the situation.

If you are still not satisfied, then appeal to PTT2 to make the wider community aware of the situation and to call the offenders to light in front of his peers. We will come to a consensus, albeit very slowly.

If you still are not satisfied, just don't go into his server or play with the offenders. After all, it is a private server and you play at the server owners pleasure. He owns the ball and the basketball court. You are not paying him for the right to play. He has the ultimate say, however unfortunate that may be.

Finally, take a step back before you go into a rant-filled post to spew your anger and to make everybody aware that you are pissed. There are kids and ladies who peruse this site and I doubt that, given your military background, you would spew such anger in person in front of children young enough to be your grandkids and the ladies. I have friends and family in Annapolis and West Point and have met enough cadets and officers that such behavior is not tolerated.

Nobody can relieve you of your frustration, as we have not ever stepped in your shoes. But please remember that you have a wider audience on PTT2 than you can imagine and behave accordingly.

@ Mad Hatter - Read this thread considereing yourself as an outsider. Firstly, how easy is it to read? Nigh on impossible, you have replies in quotations, no spaces, caps lock etc. Then there is the anger, can you see it.

I just read it, why does 'the pen is mightier than the sword' spring to my mind. There is an undercurrent of violence in your posts, why do you keep referrring to your army background, does this make you some sort of better person? You seem to be a sword only person.

Regarding your comments on Roo, it relates to us all. We don't gain each others respect with ability alone. Roo is one of the nicest guys connected to this game. He gives sooo much to this comunity, he is creative, witty so this is why he has our respect.

Regarding the duck thing, I wasn't saying you were a duck (you have a complex) It is an anlogy, of water sliding easily of a ducks feathers, or simply washing over me.

Mad, go back and read through Mighty Mouse's post again, and when you're done, read it once more. It is, without question, the nicest response you're going to get for your efforts.

You're intitial post in this thread is absolutely begging to be ridiculed. Your thin-skinned reaction to a video game occurrence warrants even more. I completely blow at this game, am called things daily that would make 'homo' seem like a compliment, and I absolutely love it. Tough-up, man.

You have an outstanding young son, please try not to embarrass him. Hell, let him pen your feelings for you next time.
