You'll have to forgive me, I'm about to wax lyrical a bit. I've never been good at shutting up.

Hi. I was reluctant to try and log into this account, let alone post, because I joined this forum when I was 10, and 10-year-old me was annoying and kind of a jerk, so I'm sorry to anyone who dealt with me. My nonsense was mostly contained to the spam forum, at least.

But I randomly happened to remember this game, and seeing the forums still here...it kind of gave me some perspective. Anyone else feel that?

I'm almost 29 now. I left the forums suddenly because I went blind - only for a month, as a result of a major emergency eye surgery in August '10, but it was the kind of thing that really could've gone either way. Thankfully, it was a happy ending and the eye condition I'd been suffering from my entire life was stabilized. I've been through a lot since then; three cats, three grandparents, college, rock bottom, dropping out, an autism diagnosis when I was 22 that suddenly made a lot of things make a lot more sense. Even now, I still play video games. I still practically live on the internet.

I hear some of us didn't make it, and I'm sorry for that. But some of us did. And isn't it kind of fascinating? To be able to look back on where we were, on this tiny corner of what little is still left of the internet that raised us?

A ten-year-old girl who didn't have any real friends downloaded a funny little tank game off Shockwave once. She was never any good at it, but she was excited to meet and play with people who also loved games. And she happened to think the "older kids" playing said tank game were the coolest people ever.

Now, I don't know what you guys are doing these days, but you're probably still pretty cool.

Take care.

I was 10-11 when I first played this game. I'm 32 now lmao. Forever gratefull for 44 for purchasing this game for me back in the day.
This game was my introduction to an online community, forgive me for my antics of the past as I was fairly young and new to the whole "online" thing.
I think of this game often, my favorite moments were racing on Fixit's race maps, playing on T-Bones maps and of course Rollerball.
I remember most of you fondly and thank you for the wonderfull memories
Shout out to TMG!
The memories will never die.
