Your very welcome fishtank, anytime. Sounds like its working great. If its like the old AMD that I have, you won't have any worries for quite awhile.

BUMP
New rig came yesterday. Was trying to limit budget to $1000, but spent just under $1100. Windows experience rating of 7.2, which is limited by processor. All other components score 7.8 or above. Haven't tinkered with overclocking yet. Performance of solid state drive is amazing. Windows loads in about 10 seconds. Bought from AVAdirect, which I highly recommend.

Re: new comp
Very Nice!! I see some similarities to mine. I've been thinking I need a new hard drive for quite some time. I've been waiting for the prices of the SS HD's to lower. I guess I had better hurry if I want to keep up with the fish. lol

Re: new comp
I spent weeks researching computer components before buying. Probably the best value SSD available right now is the Crucial 64gig. It's small, but has enough room for OS+ a few programs. Crucial has an excellent reputation for reliability. This ssd is a lil cheaper than others because of slow write speed, but read speed is really what matters. The samsung I bought is the best of the best, I splurged.I've been thinking I need a new hard drive for quite some time
I was able to drop my old XP drive into my new win7 system and keep all my pics and music n stuff, also giving me an extra 300 gigs for storage, which kicksass. I think that win7pro allows you to run XP programs too, but I'm not sure.

Re: new comp
Yeah 64 gigs is a bit tiny for my liking. I'm more the 150 or better type. Most programs can be run in compatibility mode. I've found a few that doesn't work in compat. mode, but that just means I need to update or dispose of the program. I will have to buy another TV tuner for this reason "the bastids". I have 7 ultimate and it still doesn't like my tuner. I had thought about using VMware as a fix but haven't took the time to install and use yet.
