Hi Nightbane,

Yes, we have been in battle.

Just go to your profile and below you will see different choices on how to upload an image. If you don't have any images on your machine that you feel are not worthy of representing you, then you can have any image from the internet hosted by a free avatar hosting website.

I like this one the best. -------------------> http://xs.to/

Their instructions are easy to follow.

Maybe I should have told you this instead. That method of image hosting is usually used to display images in your messages.

Here is a more simple way. Download an icon image no more than 100x100 pixels from the internet to your machine. Then just upload your avatar from your machine to the forum.

I did make my avatar but I uploaded it from my machine.

Nightbane,

I was just reading some of your other posts and you want your picture of yourself to be your avatar. In that case, you would have to shrink it down to 100x100 pixels. Then just upload it from your machine to the forum.

I am a Mac user, so all I can recommend is this free software ------------>http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/17460/cocothumbx

If you're a pc person, then there is plenty of free software out there on Google that you can shrink your picture to.

And if you use Linux (which I doubt), your distribution should come with The GIMP, which can scale pictures down and so much more...

I think a lot of image hosting sites let you resize the image when you upload it too.
